Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Freds best half as united player so far.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 11,906 ✭✭✭✭PhlegmyMoses

Decent first half. Hopefully ref finds his cards next half and it slows their press a bit.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 13,136 ✭✭✭✭How Soon Is Now

Hoping in second half be lot more attempts on goal we had most the ball but in front of goal apart from actual goal we have done very little.

Wolves have had the better chances.

I'd say you thought it was going in the moment your foot made the connection.

Sweet hit in fairness, you must be practicing them on the training ground.

What's the craic in the dressing room at half-time?

I'm doing a little samba to stay warm

Also giving Valencia dirty looks because he's doing **** all this half, nothing happening on the right hand side

Just realised the channel I'm watching the game on is Jamaican!! That's a first!

Smalling lying on the ground again as a corner comes in. I say it every week, he isn't good enough

Meh best CB at the club and had a fine half.

Only chance I remember was a swivel shot that DDG made with his feet. They did well from a corner actually. Beyond that they've been far more conservative than I expected, which is disappointing. Still falling into the counter shape so we need to get one more to open the game out more.

Lingard and Lukaku need to get into things more.

Improved as the half went on, I'll admit. Still gets bullied at times and more examples of him stepping up to win a ball and getting caught in no man's land.

I think I might be biased at this stage as I think he's not near good enough for a title challenge.

Smalling has had a very good game. And I criticise him more than anyone!

Hard to argue against that. On the balance of 50 minutes, they deserve to be level.

What was Pogba at in the center circle for that?

  • Pogba fs

Pogba doing a trick in his own half is ****ing ridiculous decision making

Why the f*** was Valencia where he was there.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 13,136 ✭✭✭✭How Soon Is Now

Pogba being to lazy on the ball there to give it away leading up to the goal.

    Needs to respond now.

    Wolves deserve it anyway.

how many fouls do Wolves have to finally get a yellow card

    Ref is awful

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,473 ✭✭✭Adamcp898

Looks like we've changed our shape at half time. Fellaini now the most advanced midfielder and Sanchez/Lingard looking to come inside to receive the ball.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 828 ✭✭✭JaMarcus

That "never lost at OT when leading at HT in 200 odd games" is under serious threat I reckon. Wolves 5/1 in play now which looks seriously tempting as an emotional hedge.

Its the high press, counter, foul, reset tactic. Refs need to have a look at it as it's not a new thing. Guardiola has used it since he started out.

I defy anybody to watch the replay of that goal and argue a case for Valencia. Just watch him throughout, not only did he do nothing to help, he actively hindered other defenders in trying to close the ball down.

We'll say nothing about where the goal started, no doubt trying a fancy spin when you are isolated in the centre of the field is the sort of brilliance we should be appreciating, never mind that it immediately opened up the entire United side.

Lukaku hasn't done a single thing today.

  • Registered Users Posts: 8,369 ✭✭✭Rossi IRL

Yet another foul and not a thing.

Sick of this bias refereeing against us.

Guaranteed the next United foul will be a yellow.

He has given the ball away........ Does that count?

It took 15 fouls to get a yellow. A heap of them on Pogba. Its what annoyed me that time Herrera got sent off for team fouling Hazard. It's so inconsistent

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,473 ✭✭✭Adamcp898

Not sure why we changed our shape at the half. Think it's an effort to try and bring Lukaku into the game but we're so much more exposed.

EDIT: We'll see what changes with these subs now

  • Registered Users Posts: 8,369 ✭✭✭Rossi IRL

    Sanchez hooked that ****

    Gone to a 4231 now

  • Why Jose you take me off

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 23,225 ✭✭✭✭J. Marston

Those two changes have made the team about 60% less energetic.

We are gonna lose this because of those subs.

Honestly, I'd be completely fine with cutting our losses and shipping him off to China or the States in January.

I would agree but only if Martial or Rashford are played there and find form.

But who else would pay his wages..... I doubt China would.

Sanchez has been a joke since he signed

Luk is very lucky he was offside after that dreadful miss

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 13,136 ✭✭✭✭How Soon Is Now

Neves is a classy operator on the ball.

Pogba is so good. Some of ye are daft.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 54,640 ✭✭✭✭Headshot

Unfortunately I fancy Wolves to get utd on the counter :/

At least Fellaini is furthest back again like the first half, should settle things down a little. Not a fan of Lingard in this position though, relying on tall Paul to find something for us.

  • Registered Users Posts: 8,369 ✭✭✭Rossi IRL

Pogba very lucky there, should of passed it sooner.

Yes he is, but at the same time one would argue he cost us the equaliser

Traore is lighting quick and good on the ball dangerous sub for us

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 23,225 ✭✭✭✭J. Marston

Pass the fùcking ball. One classy assist and he thinks he can be indulged with his Fifa horseshìt for the day.

Roll on next summer so we're rid of his nonsense.
