Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

So Jose should just pander to a bunch of snow flake players and let them decide that fate of his employment... well ok

Take 26 years of Fergie and lets see who he's fallen out with
    Strachan
    Leighton
    Schmeichel (he sacked him)
    Ince
    Beckham
    Keane
    Ruud
    Rooney
    Stam

26 years of Fergie management as compared to about 7/8 years in which Jose has had major rows with players.

    Not really an equal comparison.

Lets see how Long Jose's list is after 26 years of management (if he lasts)?

Many of these players you mention were past their best and needed to be moved on anyway.

Not quite the same as falling out with Pogba, Hazard, Ronaldo, Ramos, etc when at their peak.

    Schmeichel fired by Fergie?
    Wasn't aware of that?
Always thought that was the player's decision.

Leighton was error prone and had to be axed.

Keane dug his own grave. And was crocked by injury anyway.

Manager saw Ince as disruptive, so quickly and efficiently moved him out in the summer.
He wasn't really missed. We had Keane and an emerging Scholes, Beckham and Butt. And won the title that year.

Rooney created the rift by trying to force a move to City.
Fergie to his credit, repaired it and got one of his best seasons out of Wayne year after that.
2011/12 was his best ever goals tally in the PL.
Great management to put egos aside - and do whats best for the club.

RVN was passing his peak when sold. Real only really got two proper seasons from him.

I'm not really seeing the correlation in all this.

Weather warranted or not if Pogba had been mouthing to the press like he has done under Fergie he'd be out the door under him

The correlation is all players fall out with managers and vice versa. Doesn't matter if its you or I in our daily job or Fergie/Jose as manager of a football club.

Also players love managers in more cases but that seems to have been lost on you. I mentioned that balance is a very important thing rather than the cherry picking many love to make to validate their own point.

Obviously you're not a true supporter as the vast majority know Fergie fired Schmeichel after a 3-3 draw at Liverpool in 93/94 after the big dane let rip at him. Schmeichel went into the team room and apologised to the team and said his good byes with Fergie standing out side the team room door.

Wow its a bit early to be comparing this Liverpool team to the invincible's as impressive as their unbeaten start has been.

I'm obviously a a more interested fan than you mate.

Peter Schmeichel left United in 1999. Fact.

Are you trying to deny the multiple trophies he won at Old Trafford between 94 and 99?

Did you see the 99 Champions league final?

So obviously you're unaware of the story so here's multiple sources on it

    MEN
    https://www.manchestereveningnews.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/fergie-once-sacked-schmeichel-1129583

    Telegraph

    Independent

Maybe checked this thing called the internet before jumping head long into something... without having all the facts...

Schmeichel loves telling the story at every after dinner speech he does.

    Ah Come on.

There's a difference between an amusing after dinner-anecdote.....and the facts.

He was the United keeper from 1991 to 1999.
Winning numerous titles, up to and including 1999.

He was the team captain in the 99 Champions league final.
    Man United vs Bayern.

He decided to leave himself in the summer of 99. It was the player's decision.
He was not sacked by the manager.

Its amazing how little some people on here know about the club they claim to support!!

Well, I had read that story before, but didn't pay much heed to it.

In fairness he wasn't fired, it was just a heated disagreement.

Apologies Brinty if I picked you up wrong.
Thought you were referring to Schmeichel leaving the club in 99.

At least they handled that disagreement behind closed doors. :pac:
No arguing in the media there!

I doubt every player needs to be individually spoken to in order for them to learn they're playing.

I mean i can't believe he's not talking to Valencia but tony is still captain!!!!

    This defies logic...

Either Jose is trolling the players he hates or the media has been trolling united fans.

I feel like somebody’s being trolled here...

While I'm happy to see Fellaini in there as he always gives his all I was hoping we'd see Fred alongside Pogba and Matic. I thought we had assembled a 200mil midfield trio that complimented each other but they rarely play together.

Jose is a petulant child. It wouldn't surprise me at all if he's not speaking to half the side. It's not like he's inviting them to his birthday party, he names the side and that side go out and play. There's a famous story onetime where Martin O'Neill named three wingers in one of his Ireland teams and Aiden McGeady said himself and the other two wingers were deliberating amongst themselves about who was going to play where.
