Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

You mean when he had options and chose not to use them, then got closed out?

Listen, you've no idea how badly I want pogba to come out and run a game.

Who could he have played it too bar put his foot through it? He had zero support in an area he should have had 3/4 players.

Kane, Aguero, Salah and Aubameyang probably score 2 of Lukaku's 3 good-great chances that half. No killer instinct.

Yep a guy who had something like a over a 100 shots on target in August but never scored in August(until this year) would have put it away.

If you think Lukaku is a better finisher then Kane it's not worth discussing anything with you ever tbh

Our front 3 were pressing high the first 10 mins. Looks like that's all jose was willing to do of that, dropped right off now except lingard. Looks like he's been instructed to press as much as he likes, he'll be gassed early enough if he keeps as it. Jose hoping he forces an error before that.

Just so I can parse this, the team were initially pressing high, but then apart from the players who he told to continue pressing high, after 10 minutes the manager told everybody else to stop pressing high. And its bad that the manager stopped everybody pressing high, but its also bad that he told some players continue to press high.

    Thats impressive.

That's the difference there between a world class striker and our very good striker.

Don't think we deserve to be losing 2-0 but there it is.

You say this, despite the fact that Smalling makes far more mistakes than Jones.

Lindelof had a fine game against Leicester too and a great WC. This reactionary stuff won't help the team develop or grow.

I still think Jones is more error prone

    2-0 now

Anybody who tries to blame this on Mourinho either hasn’t watched the game, or is an idiot.

The players are not good enough

Awful just bloody awful, where the hell was jones running back from

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 46,329 ✭✭✭✭Mitch Connor

What a pathetic excuse for a football team we are.

Fall to pieces at the first sign of adversity.

We got lucky defensively in the first half. Punished in the second half.

This is the measure of United. Pathetic.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 11,906 ✭✭✭✭PhlegmyMoses

I guess my question is, how is this our defence after all of that money spent? Criminal

I never said once it was bad he asked to drop off after trying to force an early mistake or that he asked one of our younger players to keep it up. It's an interesting tactic instead of sitting back for the entire game but you continue reading into it how you please.

But... But... Jose has got all the signings he wanted, so it's his fault these players are playing.

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,107 ✭✭✭thegreengoblin

No one at either post for the first goal...what a shambolic mess of a performance. But Jones gives it his 'all' eh?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 23,225 ✭✭✭✭J. Marston

This is just our level now. Especially with these options at centre-back. Almost every striker will fancy getting the better of Smalling, Jones, Bailly or Lindelof at least twice a game.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,383 ✭✭✭S.M.B.

Herrera double at fault for that goal.

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,752 ✭✭✭Thepoet85

Looks like they could score on every attack.

When does coaching come into this? What does he need...to spend £300 million more?

Easy to blame the players, but why does one of the best coaches in history get off scott free?
