Flying from Shannon to fuetoventura in September with Ryanair. Is there any point getting insurance incase of cancellation? Would it cover getting routed with a different airline? Or hotel?

    Hotels and flights booked seperately.

It may but once an actual strike date is announced it won't cover it.

From a priority point of view I would get insurance when booking to cover against you needing to cancel prior to travel due to illness or family illness, will also cover you abroad if you become I'll.

If it doesn’t cover announced strike days then it seems pointless!

My healthcare covers me abroad I think.

It should cover if you buy it before a strike day is announced.
