Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Manchester United vs Leicester - 20:00 - Sky 1, SS Main Event

The 2018/2019 premiership season kicks off in earnest this evening when the 2016 champions visit the 2013 champions.

Both teams are missing players following the world cup so the line ups are yet to be revealed. Leicester signed 7 players during the window while United had a quiet end to the closed season.

Although United finished a comfortable second last season Jose Mourinho and his charges have come in for some scathing criticism from many sections of the United fanbase for some less than exciting performances. More of the same this season will likely raise the ire of many and with the United's board seeming unwillingness to sign players Mourinho requested, it could be a turbulent few months at Old Trafford.

    Prediction

    1:2

Probably some doom and gloom over the end of the transfer window for Utd but they should still have enough to beat Leicester at home.

Jose Mourinho teams usually start off well and get a couple of wins in. So I can’t see past a Man Utd win here. 2-0.

Not Maguire, Mina, Toby or Godin that’s for sure

It's not that we aren't good enough, we arguably have the second best squad in the league. It's the diabolical performances from last season and preseason that's the issue with us.

Wouldn't be surprised if Leicester get the win either but I reckon it will be a draw.

If they don't beat Leicester, the pressure will crank up a notch or three. But they will win. 3-1 to utd.

Is Vardy available? Usually likes a goal against the big boys.

3-0 .Sanchez to rip Leicester apart.

    **** the doom merchants .

Even with all the noise coming from United I think they win tonight handy enough (and have a good season overall). Still a very strong squad to pick from and Leicester have been depleted over the last few years and not sure if Maguire/Vardy will be playing.

Delighted Bailly starts and Smalling doesn't.

Big chance for Shaw to impress.

I would love to see Pogba take that captaincy and embrace it. He's a world cup winner and has all the tools to be a phenomenal leader on the pitch. I'm desperately hoping he will step up and achieve his potential this season.

It's quiet because with Pogba captain and half the team aged 25 or younger there's not a lot of shíte to talk about Jose, at least yet.

Leicester were involved in a great opening game last season when Arsenal won 4-3. Hoping tonight's game has similar levels of excitement (and the same result).
