Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Since you'll get dementia if you have < 14 drinks :

The first 14 drinks per week should be tax free ?

    Magic comes at a price.

You may not get Dementia but you'll surely lose many an evening drinking 14 pints

Some things are proven to reduce dementia risk. Being educated to degree level will stave off the appearance of age related dementia for about ten years compared to those who don't finish secondary school. Being very fit and active into middle age can reduce the risk of developing dementia in women (male studies to follow) by up to 90%, and sleeping at least seven hours but not more than eight and a half also has a preventative effect. People with a later chronotype (night owls) are more at risk than early birds. All averages, of course.

If you want to develop dementia then leading a sedentary life with no regular exercise, abandoning education, staying in bed late, and drinking more than the recommended units of alcohol a week is likely to do the trick.

Drinking 14 units (not drinks) a week is unlikely to do much by itself if you do everything else wrong.
