Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

People who keep back turned as you enter room

I get this from my older sister. I only see her about once a fortnight but she'll often keep her back turned to me as I enter the room and say hello without turning around. I've tried it back to her a few times, and I feel so cruel!

The other day I entered the kitchen when she was preparing something at the work top. My mom and dad were also present. After there seemed to be no response out of her my dad, who I'd seen two seconds earlier, turned around and said "oh hello John" which was basically his way reminding her John's here now so maybe try and say hello. She finished her sentence (even though she'd lost the attention of my dad) and then gave me a big "hi John, how are you". This seemed ironic to be. I mightn't be the sort to give a big hello, but I will hold my thought for a second in order to greet someone who's entered the room.

Anyway, when she said that I said I'd give a taste of her own medicine, and so I let there be a little moment of silence before I answered. And when I did my answer was "grand and yourself?". She then just asked "how was your journey?" to which I replied "and yourself?"!

If an relative who calls rarely I'd consider it sort of rude but if it's somebody I'd see fairly often it wouldn't put me out.

Less than 200 words in a minute. Of course anybody could.

I wouldn't see my sibling for months or even communicate and we'd have the same reaction. It wouldn't bother me.

So basically you crave attention. Are the school holidays too long for you? You'll be back to school soon with your friends don't stress about it. They will give you all the attention in the world.😉

And how did your cunning revenge work out? Was she mad? Was she upset? Or did she keep on trying her best to ignore you?

She may be training to be a taxi driver.

Oh you're so funny. She's not training to be a taxi man.

No, she'd be a taxi woman. But I think they just call them drivers.

Has she always been like this or is it a new thing.

Any chance she could be autistic?

Id say she has loads of experience giving lads rides though.

Kate would just pop into a room during breakfast, unannounced, and start asking questions.

Reminds me of you, a bit.

Is this some reference to a TV show that you think everyone watches?
