Please no Mocking and only post real helpful advice thanks!!!

I have really bad spots underneath my chin from shaving (im a guy)

It wasnt too bad last week but it has gotten really red with lots of spots in the past few days. on my chin and below my cheeks.

Any tips and how to get rid of it and prevent it from happening again?

I have tried some pharmacy over the counter creams that make it less red for a bit, but then i have to shave again and im back to square 1.

    Please help.

Have you recently changed razors or shaving foam?

Make sure you’re using as fresh a blade as you can each time, a dull blade can cause irritation.

Do you have any kind of skincare routine? Maybe look at getting a gentle exfoliator, and perhaps a tea tree toner. You should try wear a moisturiser with SPF in it every day anyway, you future self will thank you for it!

Hope you get sorted! Boots often have 3 for 2 on skincare so you should be able to get started without spending a fortune! Their own range of tea tree products or their Botanics range are quite good. Often the only difference in so called men’s ranges is the smell so just go for whatever looks right! An aftershave balm or oil might be worth a look as well.

I get that too and one of the best pieces of advice is to let it grow for a day or two and then check the direction of the hair. The hair on my neck grows upwards so if I shave downward I literally tear the hair off my neck leaving razor burn. Check out proraso shave cream and a DE razor. You can get sample packs of blades on ebay really cheap and you can decide then which ones you like. PLUS over time it work out way cheaper than the fancy 2/3/4 blade yokes.

    Thanks guys.

I have juat bought some tea tree oil essential oil and a tea tree oil facial scrub to replace the one i usually use.
Also a pack of brand new razors, i will take a look at amazon for what you mentioned at some stage
    Hopefully these will help.

How would i use the tea tree oil?? I looked it up and it says just to rub some in with cotton buds?

Also what spf moisturiser would be reccomended? Nivea perhaps?

    Cheers for all the reccomendations!

    Moisturizer:

Now tea tree oil by itself is too concentrated. One would usually use a 5% lotion/cream around the face area.

Also you can try to shave without the shaving foam, use shave oil instead.

The only problem with the shave oil is that the shaved stubble is more difficult to remove from the multiple-blade razor.

Tea tree oil I sometimes would mix a drop with a tablespoon on olive oil, and then use a cotton bud to apply to any spots.
