Definitely looking for it but same as you, need to see more.

    0-2

Poor defending but tired legs for RM being down to 10 and pushing forward

Did you see the peno shout? I thought it was great goalkeeping first but in the replay it looked like it may have been a peno. Need more replays! Not sure if the keeper actually got the ball

It was 100 per cent a penalty in fairness! Madrid all over the shop in this.

Balague is unbearable to listen to on commentary; he's ignoring the match and just analysing the situation.

Why did they not use VAR!? I don't think that was a free out. Barca let off there

Horrendous match so far, Barca players are so unlikable. Really hard to watch

Poor from Getafe but Messi did well 0-1

That was some goal from Suarez.

Cracker. 1-2 the score at halftime. Getafe probably disappointed to be behind but the goal before halftime might spur them on

Watched the highlights of Saturday's games and there were some great goals. Liked this lovely chip from Angel Rodriguez to seal Getafe's win over Villarreal.

    https://twitter.com/ElevenSports_UK/status/1084202990645460995

Toko Ekambi had a chance to get Villarreal a point after winning a pen but it was a shocker. Getafe keeper Soria was impressive in the game.

Speaking of pens, I thought Valencia were hard done by when the ref allowed the save by Valladolid's keeper Matip to stand. He's miles off the line when the ball is being kicked. I wish they would be tougher on this practice as I see it a lot.

There was a stunning free-kick equaliser from Valladolid's Ruben Alcaraz late on which is worth seeking out. Unstoppable.

Real Betis vs Real Madrid will be a very interesting Sunday evening game. Neither side have had a great start to the year.

Just to note that the GOAT got his 400th la liga goal tonight!! That’s just ridiculous.

Great finish by Modric. We're playing terrible and this is a worse Madrid team to the one we beat in the Bernabéu last year. I'm watching an eleven Sports stream as my gf couldn't listen to the Mexican spanish. However I'm fit to catch the laptop and fire It out the window listening to balague, he's painful.

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,856 ✭✭✭irishguitarlad

Also, our build up is too slow, with the likes of ramos in defence and his lack of pace you have to play with a bit more speed.

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,856 ✭✭✭irishguitarlad

Guardado first foul, yellow(deserved), Casemiro three, last one very similar to guardado's and nothing. Same ****e.

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,856 ✭✭✭irishguitarlad

1-1, what a ball from Lo Celso to Canales. Unreal player.

2nd player to get 400 club goals, hes done it in some 63 games less than Ronaldo.

435 La Liga games and 400 goals is just an insane return.

Heard him for the first time on Eleven's commentary last night. Listening to him takes you right out of the match, he's that bad.

    Remarkable stat:

Pretty much sums up Betis this year, Setién isn't the manager to get us over the final hurdle or improve on last year. The style is lovely but there has to be an end product.

Watching the highlights and I think Athletic Bilbao were robbed. Inaki Williams' goal deemed to be offside by VAR but I can't see why.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 14,150 ✭✭✭✭LuckyGent88

Looks like Barca produced the best performance of the season tonight. Trailing by 2 goals going into the second leg and went on to beat Sevilla 6-1 on the night.

Coutinho looks like he finally produced the goods too.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 45,630 ✭✭✭✭Mr.Nice Guy

Wow 6-1. Curious how Sevilla react to this.

Betis also through after scoring 2 goals in Extra-Time against Espanyol. Valencia through yesterday and Madrid most likely joining them tomorow.

Barcelona and Real Madrid have been paired together in the Copa Del Rey semi finals.
First leg next Thursday at the Nou Camp.

Barcelona were 2-0 down at home against Valencia but the little magician has levelled it up after 65 minutes just after Valencia missed a sitter.
Vermaelen getting a game, the man is such a liability, can't understand how he gets a game.

Well they were beaten by Celta Vigo who hadn't won in 7 matches. Wonder will the loss to Barcelona see their season nosedive. Still a good chance for a Champions League spot. Pleased for Cardoso that Celta got a win they badly needed.

Valencia looked like they were worthy of a point based on the brief highlights I've seen.

Great win by Betis over Atlético. Canales has been great recently, it's a shame we can't play like this every week. Kaptoum has potential as well and León is so much better than Loren. Onwards and upwards very important few games coming up with Copa del Rey semi finals and Europa league.

Any sign of Eleven giving up La Liga aswell? Atletico losing today means Barca's draw yesterday goes unpunished

Watched the highlights of Sunday's games and I think Atletico were unlucky not to get a penalty. Looked to me like Feddal brought down Morata.

Pleased to see Mariano scoring on his return from injury. Great goal as well.

They came to a new agreement with La Liga recently which guaranteed them the rights until the end of the season. They'll have to negotiate a new deal in the summer, however. Hopefully La Liga decides to go with a TV channel for the 19-20 season. You can tell even on Boards that the interest in the league has gone down a lot by doing that deal with Eleven Sports.

Yeah I used to watch quite a few games the last few years but seen none this year. Is the Copa del Rey on Eleven as well? Be interesting if Messi keeps up his form in the semi this week

    How did it finish?

    1-1

Vasquez in the 6th minute for Real and Malcolm in the 58th for Barcelona.

Pleased for Malcom to get a goal.

Didn't see game, but read report, apparently he played well.

And to think they are trying to sell him on.

The expectations are so high at Barca. I imagine it's tough for Malcom to be expected to be on a par with guys like Messi and Suarez who are seasoned superstars. I can't help but feel the move was too soon for him but I can understand he felt he had to take it.

Great game on at the moment in the 2nd copa del rey semi final. Betis are up one nil from a Loren header, nicely worked goal. Valencia have had a fair few chances as well. The atmosphere is electric and both teams are going for it.

Two shocking goals conceded by Valencia off corners.

    Good exciting game!

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,856 ✭✭✭irishguitarlad

That's an absolutely shocking foul by Soler. Should have been a red.

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,856 ✭✭✭irishguitarlad

Valencia deserved that goal to be honest. Bring on the Mexican Messi!

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,856 ✭✭✭irishguitarlad

    Well that ****s that. 2-2. :-(

  • Registered Users Posts: 4,672 ✭✭✭elefant

That's an absolutely shocking foul by Soler. Should have been a red.

I thought he was very good apart from that moment. Let the game flow, unlike the usual ultra strict Spanish referees.

Must be sickener for Betis; they looked to seriously flag towards the end, and Kondogbia and Gameiro had a big impact off the bench for Valencia.

There’s some incredible pace in that Betis side. Valencia lacking that a bit without Guedes at the minute.

Its hard to fathom but Real Madrid are now only 6 points behind Barcelona in the league with the Classico to come at the Bernabeu on March 3rd.
If it wasn't for Ter Stegens heroics last night Barcelona would have lost and the gap would be 5 points.
Real seem to be hitting form at the business end of the season whilst Barcelona have hit their usual blip in February.

Real are still in the hunt for 3 trophies ,the league ,cup and Champions league and their win at Atletico at the weekend was very impressive.
The players were probably tired after the exertions of last season and the World cup so took a breather in the first half of the season.

Barcelonas wastefulness especially away from home means they are 7 points worse off than this time last year whilst Real are bizarrely 3 points better off .

Barcelona need to turn things around quickly or their away form will cost them both in La Liga and especially the Champions league where a tricky away first leg to Lyon lurks next week.

tbh, they have always been good at that.

Just watching the highlights of the Barca semi and the Madrid derby, it's going to take a good team to knock them out of the CL this year.

There was no way they were going to have an entire rubbish season with the players they have at their disposal.

Yes ,they have a knack of peaking at the business end of the season.
I still think that they are missing the Ronaldo factor though .
    Interesting few months ahead .

Probably, but he had a 2 quiet semi's and final in last years CL, didn't stop them winning it.

And I think Vicinius Jr will surprise a few this year. He is settling in very quickly.
