Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Must have got assurances that they will be spending a lot of money this Summer.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 18,289 ✭✭✭✭rob316

That's 100% Bale gone so, Zidane has no time for him apparently.

Big money going to be spent this summer, huge rebuilding job ahead.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,473 ✭✭✭Adamcp898

Surely he managed to get assurances he'll be allowed cull whoever he feels like and hasn't suddenly elected to do the monotonous rebuilding job of a fragmented squad he had already seen coming.

Bring in the French man to help the mbappe effort?

As much as guys like this are good to listen to for a while on the radio, wouldn't be sure about paying money to hear them.

Wonder what the content of the night is?

Balague did a similar thing in a pub in Derry a few years back. Didn't get to it due to work, but a few guys I know went to it and apparently he did nothing but bum himself up all night, telling stories that no-one could prove or disprove.

    Clearly very bored.

They say you should never go back.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 18,289 ✭✭✭✭rob316

Well that was all pretty pointless this season for Madrid. Perez realising he messed up not backing zidane to rebuild.

Bale has been a contentious issue between Perez and zidane.

Lots of commentators saying in the last week how Zidane was smart and got out at the right time. Bet they're a bit confused now.

I'm a bit disappointed it's not Mourinho as that would have been fun. Wonder where Jose ends up. Doesn't look like Spain is his next destination now. Perhaps Paris if they decide to ditch Tuchel in the summer. Maybe a return to Inter.

Also means Poch unlikely to return to La Liga in the near future.

3 European cups is hard to beat but if he gets them back to that level it'd be a feather in his cap. Bet Juve are sickened as they seem to want a new manager this summer.

So clever from zidane. It can only get better from here, he can rebuild the club, make the transfers he wants, the team needs to be refreshed ,i wonder if they keep james now?

Zidane is just in time for the business end of the Champions League, oh wait.......

€50m fee, Real will be hoping he's more a Pepe than Danilo

Bale a stupid and lucky boy. Gets a yellow for swining his arm into a defender's face.

With atletico losing and if Barca win tomorrow that might give them that extra cushion they need especially when playing atletico and then 4 days later playing man u.

Makes more sense to go back there as he knows the market for a team in Spain better than he does for clubs elsewhere. Sevilla have a very mediocre squad now so he's plenty of work to do.

That goal was outrageous even by his standards. And the Betis fans rising to give him a standing ovation.

    Iconic moment.

    Messi is simply the best.
I knew it long before tonight.
But the finish for the third was simply sublime.

    Just watching utd v Watford.

If Madrid spend 145 million on Pogba, it'll only add to their problems.

He is a passenger against Watford. If he was a 145 mill man, he should be running a game like this.

Messi masterclass again this afternoon. The guy walks on water.

Pogba is the most overrated player of all time ,the Emperors new clothes .
If Utd can make a profit on him it will be good business .

That was an epic win for Celta Vigo against Villarreal. Iago Aspas with two goals including the winning penalty, and was in tears at the final whistle.

Villarreal were 2-0 up and were about to move 7 points clear of Celta and the drop zone; Celta winning it means there is now only a point between them.

I dont know why Zidane went back to Madrid, its all going to end in tears.

Well, I know why he went back, they must have parked a giant truck on his drive filled with money and promised him they're going to spend mad money in the summer to bring in 3 or 4 star players because if they dont, they're going to end up finishing 2nd/3rd in Spain for the foreseeable future, the squad is in serious decline as a lot of their best players are 30+ at the moment and the drive and desire has clearly faded.

Incredible finish to that game. Tuned in at 4-2 and got to hear Graham Hunter confidently say just before Messi struck that free kick that Barcelona had no chance of coming back.

What a half volley by Suarez. I thought initially looking at it, the keeper got a soft hand to it and should've done better but it was a clean strike.

Sounds like it was a contender for game of the season?

Nice to hear Toko Ekambi and Malcom got on the scoresheet. Not always been easy for them this season.

My god, just caught the last 20 mins of this game after the Juve one finished. Messi getting a free kick is like a pen these days.

Just checking out the La Liga scores tonight, and see that Bilbao are winning again.

Not sure if Gaizka Garitano gets all the credit (not sure when he came into the job) but its amazing to see their climb out of the relegations zone a few months ago, and now they are on the brink of European football next season.

Great to see as well. In this modern world of the super rich, it would have been terrible for football if a club like Bilbao had been relegated.

Edit: as I was typing these conceded an equaliser, then thankfully they got a winner in the last minute!
