I’ll be interested in the power consumption, rumours suggesting the 3080 will need a 850w, we wait and see.

    Let's be honest here:
The 3090 will be out of most people's price range.
If you complain about it, you're not making money from it.

The real news will be the 3070/3080 price & performance.

What was the guy who used to post here that got the RTX 2080Ti (I think) at launch? Fitz something or other? I hope he buys the 3090 and fills us in on how it is.

I'll sit here in envy and enjoy the updates :pac:

That's good to know on EVGA. Maybe need to reconsider.

My favourite brand for the last few yrs has been Inno3d, really like the coolers they use and the Inno3d GTX1060 iChill I have is brilliant and the fans and temps are super.

    I agree I be happy with a 3070 but if I can swing a 3080 I be over the moon :D

I think it was one of the Inno3D models I saw earlier, and it had an extra mini-fan on the side of the card!

    Edit: Yup.

If the 3070 rumours of performing on the level of a 2080ti are true (and not just on RTX/DLS 2.0) you'd have to imagine it'll be nearly impossible to get your hands on one this side of 2020.

I want to see another Matrix card from Asus. They're always my favourite. Tried to get my hands on the previous one, but could never find it anywhere.

Surprised how many are happy to just jump straight on Nvidia cards, thought more people would be willing to wait and see how big navi works out.

Lost a good bit of ground with the driver issues and bad bios at the start for the RDNA series, they had a really good chance at competing with the 2000 series but kind of dropped the ball.

Oh I wouldn't be buying until AMD show their hand. At the very least, they may cause Nvidia to adjust their prices in the mid-tier cards.

Well, this sums it up pretty well: the only reason people are waiting for AMD launch is so they could get NVidia cards cheaper :)

If AMD offer better performance at my price point, I'd be going RDNA2. But sure, some won't even wait to see what they do.

    Anyway, speaking of pricing;

  • Registered Users Posts: 5,574 ✭✭✭EoinHef

Between him and Todd Howard they have the "Boomer wearing a leather jacket trying to be hipster" market locked down
