Good, so when all the others are sold out, there will be loads of these left as a last resort!

    :D

The last time I saw a GPU not sell was the ASUS TUF RX 5700 XT models - everyone knew the coolers were atrocious & retailers were slashing them to 300GBP. :pac:

But with the 3080's performance it would take a miracle for that scenario to happen again.

You were able to got those Asus 5700XT's for as low as €220 at one stage because they were known to have a genuinely fatal design flaw and often died, and there was an aftermarket water block for like €70. so for +/- €375 you could make a watercooled 5700xt with a big assed 280mm radiator and good fans.

would have been a fun project.

Is this one of the recommended PSU from the Linus list? I think it's in the top tier but not sure if I'm reading it right?

Ok I'll go with that so.

Edit: £15 for postage is steep and can't see the Amazon Pay option?

    No they're not.

    e.g. http://www.orionpsudb.com/fractal-design
4 different OEMs across 6 model lines.

It wasn't DPD or any of the usual delivery guys around here. His van was falling apart.

Pfft... and people complain about AMD's drivers.

I was looking for a white coloured GPU for a recent white themed build. Not many options at the current 2000 series. Any thoughts on when or if white coloured 3000 series GPU's would become available.

Very niche market based on lack of options.

That's crazy if it's for real yet people are still low balling the offers.

We haven't even had proper benchmarks for the new cards yet.

  • Registered Users Posts: 7,875 ✭✭✭Mr Crispy

And quantities haven't been confirmed either. You could be waiting a while for your 30X0 card.

It got withdrawn. Someone is a messer.

It's someone posting it to use it as bargaining on a different 2080ti.

If you look at the comments by that user he commented on a gigabyte 2080ti the other day that was posted for 700 saying "rip off prices".

I'd say you'll see comments soon on other cards linking to that ad and saying "look what these are selling for now".

If I stuck up a 2080ti on adverts now for 50 euro, you would get clowns offering 25 euro and want it posted and a few free games. Adverts was very good for a long time no messers or wasters unlike Done Deal, but its terrible now for gob****es.

I'll give you €45 for it, its okay about the free games, I'll catch you for those next time when your selling you 3080 for €35 :P

SR-IOV on the new cards. Share card between multiple virtual machines. Would be great if it works out and is actually enabled

my guess is when they bench mark the 3000 it's not going to be as fast as they make out
or NVidia will have devalued every other card it makes and the people that build and sell cards will be pissed off when cards are only worth half price

I don't think Nvidia will care very much about anyone who bought cards from the previous gen. They discontinued the 2070 and 2080 series a couple of months ago to try and prevent any retailers from having too much stock left over before the release of the 3000 series, which would be their main priority.

I can't help but notice the prices announced aren't *too* unreasonable, certainly not cheap but I honestly expected them to gouge much more.

Hopefully, Nvidia know something we don't and that AMD will be more competitive than their previous generations with whatever they have coming next and we'll have actual competition in the GPU market once again even if it's not at the super high end (3090 class).

Although, I suspect if the early words about limited availability are true, the early prices will be prohibitive.

And then when you meet the buyer they stand there haggling the "Haggled" price that you did for two days online before the meet.
