    Thanks very much.

It seems every number counts and there is a big difference in the OOM between point totals.
I am much lower and thought if I knew what 106 was, I would know whether to give up completely and take another offer or not.

I know someone who scored 107 and they were in the 990s on the interdepartmental, if that helps at all?

Wow, big difference ! So maybe if they call one more batch after the summer months, they might reach me. Thanks for the info.

I would be surprised if another batch is not called. The panel is open until October 2020.

From the 2016 competition, did everyone who passed initial aptitude tests get called to the supervised tests?

That's encouraging ! I didn't get through the 2016 competition. But it seems they got through loads of people then. I only knew one person who got through and she was 1400 in OOM for open and there was one more batch called after her for supervised stage. I don't know how big the batches were though.

Was this standard Garda vetting which takes a matter of days or the extended clearance process which takes months?

Looked like just standard Garda vetting

Giving them a bit of time. If I haven't heard anything by Monday I'll call.

Does anyone know how big the 1.1 panel is?

When I was coming off the AO panel I know they bypassed some people as certain jobs were ‘specialised’ and some panelist’s experience would have been more suited to that role.

Taking into account the extra test session for the candidates who successfully appealed the shortlisting process, how likely do people think it is that the batch 2 stage 3 results will be out towards the end of next week? Am I expecting too much? :)

I'm in your school of thought. I think they'd have got into correction and sorting of all the other ones. Then slot in those shortlisted where they fit.

Like I don't think those appeals would delay matters much, so think it would be he same time frame hopefully as the Dublin ones.

But I've absolutely no basis for any of that!!

It wouldn't be a proper open competition if we weren't reduced to a bit of guesswork and conjecture :)

Hopefully they'll release the results by the end of next week, and it won't be hanging over us for the bank holiday weekend.

Does anyone know what happened with the reviews/extra sittings last time?

    That's our best indication.

Hi all, I got a score of 88 in stage 3, so assume I am in stage 1.2 or later. Was called for interview 3 weeks ago. Received notice that I'd passed the interview and am in the top 10 for Dublin. Couple of Q's

    1. Anyone any idea how long it might be before I might be called?
    2. If you are offered a position and turn it down is that it? You move off the panel?
    3. Anyone any idea when the regional lists will be created?
    4. Is it possible to request a post in a particular area if you are commuting, eg a city centre post?

    Thanks in advance

    Open to correction if wrong..

    1. A few months or so hopefully.
    2. If you turn it down, you're gone unless you're on both Open and Inter-Departmental panels.
    3. Nope.
    4. Nope.

You are in 1.2. If you got listed in the top 10 I'd say you are looking at being placed within one month max

Does this mean that the 2nd batch results where released and there is a new/ continuation of the panel. Does that mean 1.1 panel is now exhausted?

Not exhausted yet. Coming close enough I’d say. Over half way at least

Oh. It's just when that poster said she /he had his/ her interview 3 weeks ago (batch 2) and was told they are top 10 / passed it made me think the next set of results were out. Coz I was in batch 1 and the interviews were before Christmas.

  • Registered Users Posts: 16 Yesjeff

Thanks for the answers. What position were you placed tea and coffee?

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,835 ✭✭✭tea and coffee

    Mid 30s in batch 1

  • Registered Users Posts: 16 Yesjeff

Sure you're sorted so. Thought you'd been overlooked in error the way you were asking, and were panicking.

    Ah I get you.
Are you Batch 2 and got your results? Congrats!

They probably are out. But 1.1 is still running (I’m waiting to be placed myself). And when that runs out, then #1 on the panel for 1.2 gets placed
