I honestly don't fancy Salah as captain and wanna captain Aguero or Mendy.

Most are going for Salah and that is the safe and sensble option. But I have to remind myself it's my team. If I knew Aguero was starting I'd captain him in a heartbeat.

    Torn.

    DDG
    Robbo TAA Mendy
    Merlin Salah Jota Rich
    Mitro Arnie Aguero(C)

    Bench: HamerTime Peltier Stephens Obi-Wan

    -4

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,252 ✭✭✭COH

    Begovic
    PVA - Coleman - Mendy - Cedric
    Mane - Salah (c) - Richalison
    Aguerro - King - Firmino

    [Fab - Cairmey - H-Odoi - WBissaka]

Same team as last week as was always the plan. The uncertainty over Kun is such a head wreck all the same.

    Peltier not in squad...

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,908 ✭✭✭claw

    Patricio
    Bailly Mendy Robertson
    Salah(C) Mane Neves B Silva
    Aguero Arnautovic Zaha
    Subs: Stekelenburg Kabasele Stephens Wan-Bissaka

(-4), Silva in for Sanchez, Mendy in for Peltier. Chickened out of captaining Aguero thanks to that article, although to be fair I can see why Jesus could play instead of him.

    Bit late now....

Yeah I purposely waited until after the deadline to post it

Thank god that deadline has passed. I could be switching the armband for another week and still wouldn't be happy.

Wound up on Salah in the end, although I'm far from convinced it was the right move. Nearly put in on Richarlison in blind panic towards the end as I became convinced that Aguero would be dropped and that Tomkins and Sakho are a modern day Baresi and Costacurta.

Again that just seems like speculation, I don't see any direct quotes from Pep about Aguero

Unless Jesus gets injured, you're going to be dealing with this stress every gw :pac:

Even if he does get injured he'll bounce back very quickly, he has a history of it :D

That’s not how you spell Peltier.

Great, now i’ve got the joy of 2 hours hoping he doesn’t get sprung from the bench.

Thankful for 2 FTs next week now, as the Peltier experiment might now be over.

Saw that Jamie Jackson headline just in time. (And yes I posted it in another thread before the deadline before I get abuse!)

Switched from Aguero -> Mendy as captain.

    Rui Patricio
    Mendy (c) TAA Shaw
    Salah Sane Richarlison Jota
    Aguero Firmino Ings

    AWB Cedric Cairney

Suddenly my bench looks very bare. Hopefully all the Aguero talk is just BS.

Hardly worth the effort. He's cheap bench fodder. If he plays occasionally, it's a bonus, but if not, so be it. Better to have a strong first 11 and a sub or two you can rely on. No need for a strong 15 at this time of the season.

That journalist is going to get so much hate if kun starts.

Agreed, it's a fairly bold statement to make without any quotes from Pep to back it up.
