Do I have to show up to the repeats if I intend to repeat the year?

So essentially I failed four out of six exams and there's literally no chance I am going to pass them this week and I have already planned to repeat the year. Do I have still have to attend the exams and write whatever to purposefully fail or can I just not show up? These are first year exams if it matters.

Hey! I cannot offer advice on this but what I will say is you should get in contact with your tutor ASAP. As your academic advisor, they will know of what must be done in the situation, and can also advise you on what to do next. Your tutor will be on standby during exam season (even during the August deferrals and repeats) so they should email or call you back very quickly. Best of luck!

Yes, you must show up. Also, read your course handbook, for some courses they dont even let you repeat the year if you fail too many exams.

Why not give the exams a go? Worst case is you fail them again. But, with the right effort you might pass & get through...and not have a huge tuition fee to pay for repeating
