SNA Qualification QQI 5/6

    Hi all,

Currently researching the qualifications suitable to help someone I know into the route of becoming a special need's assistant.

I'm looking into this particular course as it suits: http://www.progressivecollege.ie/course/special-needs-assistant-training-combined-level-5-6/

Is part-time, one evening a week, over the period of six months. I have noticed that it has in bullet points:
QQI Level 5 Component Certificate in Special Needs Assisting 5N1786
QQI Level 5 Component Certificate in Children with Additional Needs 5N2396
QQI Level 6 Component Certificate in Special Needs Assisting 6N1957

Am I right in thinking that means its not the full certificate my friend would get, and only modules of it? Or does the fact there's two components of that level 5 mean its the full level 5? I understand she would still be employable as an SNA with those qualifications, but am wondering is there any better options for her. It's not very clear online and teaching is my background, not SNAs. Thanks!
