Always a tricky encounter for Liverpool.

    Going a nervy 0-2

Tough away game, but even at this stage a must win. I think LFC will win it by 1/2 goals.

A match thread? (Or an Eastenders thread depending how it goes)

Obviously if Liverpool lose this the title race is over.

A goalless draw looks to be the only outcome here.

    Quality.

Be interesting to see Klopp's team selection - there's not much need to change last week's starters but he's made it clear folks will need to get used to rotation and disappointment. Clyne for TAA perhaps or Hendo for Gini?

Setting Milner on Zaha would be quite a good idea I think, move Salah inside and drop Firmino deeper.

    Alisson
    FB--Gomez--VVD--Robbo
    Hendo
    -<Milner----Keita
    Fimi
    ---Salah---Mane

Good shout -and then let Virgil deal with all the long balls into Benteke after Millie shows Zaha there's no point tryin' to get through him....

How on earth is it a "must-win"?

Think we'll be seeing Henderson back in to bring in a little extra height. Fabinho could be a similar option but later in the season, think he'll get the Ox/Robertson treatment this year and spend most of his first 3 months on the bench.

Would like to see one of the CM's standing on Benteke's toes for kick outs/long balls while a CB closes in behind. It's something we didn't do a lot when playing against a team that'll hit their target man a lot and it causes us trouble.

Tough game, Liverpool to get it done 1-2.

I'd imagine a pretty easy nights work for Liverpool. With the players they have you have to think so anyway

"People say ‘go with the flow’ but do you know what goes with the flow? Dead fish."

I don't see how Trent or Wijnaldum can be dropped after last week and it's too early inn the season for rotation.

Not saying they should be dropped - that's why I said there's no need for change - but he's already flagged rotation is going to disappoint players and he has more quality to choose from, hence it's gonna be interesting to see what he puts out tonight.... and it turns out there's no change!

Liverpool: Alisson, Alexander-Arnold, Gomez, Van Dijk, Robertson, Milner, Wijnaldum, Keita, Mane, Salah, Firmino.
Subs: Mignolet, Henderson, Sturridge, Moreno, Lallana, Shaqiri, Matip.

    Team unchanged from last week.

Would love to see a Van Dijk goal from a corner. One of those "get the **** outta the way" type headers.

    Would be glorious.

3-0 to Liverpool, time to show this team is a serious contender.

Can see Zaha getting in behind the back for once or twice but should be a straightforward enough pool win.

    1-3

I'm nervous about this game tbh. Can see Palace getting at least a point.

If I was Palace I'd be pinging cross field balls at Gomez and TAA all game anyway.

Every game is a must win if we want to compete and go for the title. These are the games where we would stupidly drop points in the past..

More nervous about tonight's game than West Ham, my head says this should be a 1/2 goal win for LFC but it won't be easy and will be fascinating to see how Alisson copes with set pieces and crosses - Zaha will surely test him at some point and Benteke is in good form and likes nothing better than scoring against us

But they are not going to win every game so it's a silly thing to say at this stage of the season.

A defeat tonight would not rule them out of the title.

    Decent atmosphere.

Do Palace always have cheerleaders these days? Bit odd, not that I'm complaining.

I know he's comfy with his feet and all, but still, gave me palpitations there when he turned back across goal.

Was reading that Roma fans felt the same way until he played a few games, then they realised he never gives the ball away and felt much more relaxed.

have the noisy Palace fans boycotted this game?

Almost a goal of the season contender there. Lovely from Keita.
