Canada connecting flight visa?

Hi,

I will be travelling to Peru in a few weeks from Dublin. I am travelling with Air Canada and will be stopping off in Toronto for a few hours before getting my connecting flight to Lima.
I'm just wondering do I need to fill out any visa's online similar to the ESTA when getting a connecting flight in the US? Or do I just turn up at the airport and immigration control will do it all on the day when I arrive in Toronto?

you'll need a canadian ESTA, very easy and quick to get, cost around $7
