Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I see they have updated the 1710 pool. 501 through and only 238 currently going through the psni management stages. Seems they are really pushing on. I would hazard a guess we will here tmara or thursday of our merit numbers. What yous think?

That is a good sign for everybody that they have accepted so many people. It seems everybody has a good chance of making it to the college if you pass everything. Bit of hope for me because I just about got a B.

    PCA passed yeo!

Congratulations everyone who passed PCA today.

What type of training have you all been doing? I have just switched my weight training up for crossfit. Anyone use crossfit to train for PCA and find it helped?

  • Registered Users Posts: 36 Cml29

Might be a really stupid question but those who have done their PCA did you get contacted via email or phone call about taking it?

Also does anyone know the lowest score that got fast tracked this year?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 17 SAPY

Anyone who did the PCA know what they replaced the drag and pull with or if they just reduced the time limit?

Failed by quite a bit. I have no concept of time.
    Absolutely gutted.

Don't be too complacent. Even if you think you're decent make sure to give full effort. I'm devastated and don't know what to do.

The thin envelope and waiting is the worse part.

seen on the 1710 campaign, the ones that got the call all seem to be mid 700s on the merit list. wonder what AC score they got....

Thanks. I just wished I pushed more. Good luck for yours! Keep the training up and go for your max endurance.

They are roughly at 800 on the current merit list. People receiving calls at the moment have scored between 50-60. Your merit list is likely to be different as the merit order is arranged by AC score percentages. Wait for your campaign's list to go live and you will then be able to come up with a rough timescale. Hope this answers your question.

been looking at the updated 2017 overview of progress on the join PSNI website currently out today of the 1052 in merit pool 313 have withdrawn or have not successfully completed all PSNI managed stages. Seems a high number to me.

Some would have received the call from the 1509 campaign as that list was exhausted, I personally know of two that withdrew their applications due to this.

oh that's good, maybe does not seem as bad then. I was thinking must be a lot of people fail there vetting.

Do you find out straight away if you passed or not? Thanks for answering so many questions lol

Once everyone finishes, they will hand out envelopes. You are not allowed to open the envelope until you leave PSNI premises. Your results are printed inside
Omg were you not tempted to go to the bathroom and rip it open!!lol

    Drag bag hardest.

Just do circuits. 4 min blasts at max effort to get used to working that hard.

Although i'd say it's all in your head, passed comfortably, it's not easy but it is straightforward.

Awh im so gutted for you. What do you feel you could have done better? And what level of fitness would you say you are. You will have the opportunity to redo it again so chin up and get onboard the rollercoaster again.

You get handed them and then straight away escorted to your car and off the site, the thickness of your envelope is an indication of how you done so most people know straight away. I’m sure local businesses nearby have a few cars pulling in to their premises to open envelopes lol

I'm now petrified! Debating whether to sign up for my next gyms bootcamp or just put my all into running with the odd bit of HIIT and playground balance beams/monkey bars etc in the mornings instead

Yeah, getting a bit worried too. Haven't really focused on building up the fitness level since Easter as a few things have happened this past fortnight! But it's only me who can take control of this situation. I've been lucky enough to get this far, and don't want it taken away from me over a matter of seconds!

Those in the 1710 campaign received interesting correspondence today that is some use to us!

Everyone in 1710 who has passed PSNI managed stages will be processed in merit order before 1810 get called. There is 238 candidates in 1710 still progressing through. Can anyone confirm how many start each month with each intake? This may help us predict when 1810 will start getting calls. I vaguely remember someone mentioning they were taking more with each intake recently

Good news is PSNI have approval to continue making offers until March 2020 and are running courses throughout this summer. Previously there was no July intake so that speeds things up a little for us all!

I think it’s 50/55 in a class and not all of the 238 been processed will pass the stages either I would imagine.

Surely this can’t be correct if they are fast tracking 1810 candidates?

I guess they are just fast tracking us so we are good to go when required! By the end of June I think most if not all 1810 fast track will have medical completed

Was it not previously listed that remaining 1710 would be put through alongside 1810 higher merit candidates. More of a wait ahead now then... last year a person same AC grade got the call in November. Guess il not hold my breath for the same this year
