Looking at Bilva and Ricky to Lucas and Mkhi for a hit. Have had a great start so can afford a risk. If it goes pear-shaped I can wildcard. Not really convinced by Walcott and Pedro is a rotation risk. Thoughts?

I’m thinking similar, glad i let Walcott rise, Lucas playing up front and was excellent tonight, i thought he’d be a rotation risk but can’t see him being dropped anytime soon.

    When is son back

    How soon is Son back?

Final on this weekend so GW5 i guess but I’d be willing to take a chance that he won’t get back in straight away. If he does and Lucas looses out I can always get Rici back.

Did a u-turn on Lucas having looked at his stats. Very few shots I don't think his goalscoring is sustainable. Did Arnie and Ricky to Mitrovic and Mkhi for a -4 instead.

Son coming back in one gameweek as well
I’m still leaning towards Townsend .......

His last game at Asian Cup is Saturday, should be back in action for GW5.

Then you've to drop one of Eriksen, Alli, Son, Moura.

Why are all the good ones rotation risks :(

A poor GW3 (39) after 2 very good ones has me all tempted to take hits. Richarlison & Firmino > Mitro & Mane looking a very obvious one.

BUT...I had decided this year to limit my hits to situations where it is absolutely needed. I got bitten too many times last year on this. Firmino is a good example of this. He hasn't got firing FF wise this year yet, but remains an integral part to possibly the most high-scoring team in the league. Is it really wise to take a hit for a potentially flash-in-pan striker for a most likley bottom half team?

At the moment I think I will have patience with Firmino and do Rich to one of Walcott/Moura, accepting I might lose some value. For me a good barometer of your team at this stage is how many are going up in value v those going down...from that point of view I'm in decent shape and can hopefully put GW3 down to a bump in the road!

In theory, Lucas is "the" perfect FPL asset. Fast, technical, skilled enough in front of goal. In theory...
He did not fulfilled the expectations around him in PSG despite a few OK seasons stats-wise. When Son'll be back, I'm not sure he'll keep his starting place too.

I'll keep an eye on him though...

I think it's a bit harsh calling Mitro a flash in the pan, Fulham seem to create a good bit and he will score a decent amount of goals this season, albeit against weaker teams and predominantly at home most likely. For me, he's the kind of player you need in at the right time, that time was the weekend just gone. A lot of the mid table team strikers are similar, they will reach double figures goal wise but will get them here and there over the season. If you are reacting to a good performance from them, you have probably missed the boat.

I have Mitro and he did a job but i will be replacing after this weekend (don't think it's worth taking a hit to get rid of him now). If I didn't have him, I'd be looking at the likes of Zaha, Tosun and Ings given their upcoming fixtures. I'd hope for a decent return but I'd be looking elsewhere again after two weeks.

    Richy > Pedro

    OR
    Richy, PEA > Hazard + Mitrovic (-4)
Reticent to take a hit considering I'll probably WC after the internationals, and all the budget FWs to accomodate Hazard (King/Wilson, Mitro, Deeney) don't exactly have great fixtures

Did the exact move last night. I wanted another premium mid, and Ricky getting injured offered me the perfect excuse.

Basically saw it as a straight Firmino - Mane swap. I agree Firmino will hit form at some point, but Mane's the main man for pool at the moment.

Mitro is integral to everything Fulham do, 3 goals and 1 assist from their 5 goals so far.

    Does anybody still have Lacazette?
I didnt see the game on Saturday but see he came on at half time and they won that second half 2-0.
What are his chances of getting a start this week I wonder?

I watched the match and he definitely deserves a run of starts but not sure what the manager will do.

If Aubameyang and Lacazette start then it’s between Ozil, Iwobi, Ramsey and Mkhi for 2 places.

I’d say Mkhi has one of those so it’s the other 3 fighting for one place.

    I’m
Looking at doing this one my self but after taking -8 last week don’t really want another

I’ve 6.9 to replace Ricky with

    Fab Foster
    Peltier Mee Mendy Bennet WanBis
    Rambo Salah Pedro Cairney Ricky
    Pea Kun Zaha

Missed out on .2 Walcott jumped by should I just bite the bullet and buy him this evening or what would felas do In my scenario ?

Sell him is the very obvious answer
To any of a number of much better and cheaper options
    Who play
    And not for united

When you didn't get him before his 2 rises, you weren't too pushed on him, in that case, I'd go Pereyra now. ( I got Theo in Sunday night)

Any of these worth a -4?
    Chambers or Cedric to Trippier
    Chambers to Robertson
    Luiz to Alonso

Luiz to Alonso is worth it long term.

Either of the last two really. Probably Chambers to Robertson moreso because at least you'll still have Chelsea coverage in Luiz. :)

Tempted to go Robertson to Mendy. Mendy should outscore him by 4 points over the next few GW’s

I did that for a -4. I think Alonso outscores him over the next 2 gameweeks and then I'll be wildcarding. That's the plan anyway.

    Mendy may rise tonight FYI.

It feels kinda nice having a "Set and forget" Gk and def.

    Ederson
Mendy | Robertson | Alonso (Wan Bissaka | Peltier)

May need to change Peltier in time if he continues to fall towards a decrease in value. Bennett or Bednarek being the obvious options (for differing reasons)

If you have to make a decision on them then it's
Alonso, Mendy & Robertson for me in that order.

Robertson just keeping up with 3/3 CSs vs 1 a piece for the others.

    Eriksson out for Moura

    2 free transfers this week

Should I go for Hazard or Alonso/Pedro?

No Aguero so Hazard would be my captain

    Who are you transferring out?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,521 ✭✭✭✭dsmythy

What was the problem with Siggy instead of Walcott other than price? Kind of want him instead as a Ricky replacement.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 36,369 ✭✭✭✭SlickRic

    i've 1.4 in the bank.

    my next brainwave is:

    Hoedt ----> Alonso
    Richarlison ----> Knockaert

    for a -4.

    my team is:
    Fabianski
    Mendy Robertson WanB
    Salah Mane Pedro Mkho Ricky
    Zaha Aguero

    Foster Hoedt Kamara Peltier

i can't decide if it's worth the hit. i'd be doing it as a blocker as much as anything as I don't want to risk an Alonso 15 pointer going against me. but is that me just being needlessly fearful?

    TAA and Mané

Already have Salah so need Chelsea coverage

Id stick personally for this week if TAA is likely to play.

Mane is nailed and scoring, whereas there's rotation and/or sub risk with pedro with hazard fit. Not certain which way sarri will go with pedro /Willian at this point.

I took the hit for Alonso this week, mainly due to his now 33% ownership. Another big haul would be a killer, both for OR and mini leagues.

Thinking Ricky/Sessegnon out, Fraser/Pererya in, anyone any thoughts? Would leave me with 1.2 ITB.

Augero always tears it up against Newcastle , has a five goal haul and a hat trick in recent meetings. Can’t see him being rested and will be my captain this weekend.

Still mulling over taking a hit for Alonso....

My cunning alternative is starting PVA and Wan-B against Southampton and praying to the FPL gods for a double-cleanie

It seems I'm facing the same conundrum as a few others - Do I take a hit for Alonso?

It would be PVA & Richarlison to Alonso & Fraser.
I think Fraser is a very viable final midfielder, and good value at 5.6. Tough fixture this week, but then a nice run up to and including GW10.
I feel like I need Chelsea cover, and Alonso provides that. Transferring out PVA seems unnecessary this week, but I've Wan-Bissaka too, and I can't see myself ever wanting to start both.

I've exact money for those moves, so would need to move tonight.

Yeah not a good sign that he's lining up with the 2nd string tonight either.

It's mad that the most nailed on Man City and Chelsea attacking threats (player that's likely to get goal/assist but not rotated) is their left backs.

Knockaert is an infuriating player to own. He looks dangerous but none of the Brighton play goes through him.
