The more I watch utd, the more you appreciate Sir Alex, even as a chelsea supporter, I can appreciate the man management and skill at dealing with the media as well as the players...Jose will never have that sort of respect or aura

Moura must be wrecked, as he has been fantastic today. Good to see Winks back getting some time.

    Is it goodbye Jose ?

Might be but I hope not. I have Warnock down as first to go.

Almost have sympathy for United fans here. It feels like Mourinho was forced to take a more positive approach against his will and it was working. They looked so much better than they have in recent times in the first half. He’ll take the second half as vindication that he’s right to be negative and defensive in games against bigger teams.

    We want 5!! Coys

Problem for United is there's a lot of dross and mercenaries that need clearing out before they can focus on building a title-challenging side. A bit like a few years ago when City had to offload the likes of Navas, Clichy etc. Things are even more challenging for United as they're in a more desperate situation and it will be far more costly to do this. Probably 4-5 years before United are in the title hunt. Maybe 3 if they can get a quality manager in and acquire a Salah-esque/ Mahrez-esque star to get the club punching above its current level. Grim times ahead for United. It's a clusterf*ck at all levels of the club.

A game of two sets of centre backs. United awful, Spurs brilliant.

Josés subs didn't really work....still, damage was probably already done.

Are Spurs any good, potential challengers I mean or are Man United just that much of a mess?

    Brilliant from Lucas Moura.

It's clear the Glazers will never sanction the investment required to build a title-winning squad.

    Fûcking 3-0 now. Jokeshop.

In Cavan there was a great fire / Judge McCarthy was sent to inquire / It would be a shame / If the nuns were to blame / So it had to be caused by a wire.

Lucas Moura has been outstanding tonight. Made a right fool of Smalling there.

Lucas Moura has been absolutely unreal.

    Jose in.

    Quality play from Moura.

Utd are in big trouble, not just this match but this season.

Spurs had a quality squad last season anyway so they'll be up there in and around top 3 regardless in may.

    Moura definitely MOTM. No question.

De Gea's invincibility or air seems to be gone which is gonna cost United a huge amount. Players seem happier to just take a shot whereas before there would have been thinking and over-thinking.

I still believe that if you give Pep, Klopp or Pochetino this United squad that they’d get so much more from them. Mourinho trying to con people into thinking he has a poor squad is embarrassing.

All three of those other managers take players and make them better. Mourinho takes good players and ruins them.

Smalling really is a nothing defender, I shouldn't even autocorrect his name from Smelling anymore.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,816 ✭✭✭LostArt

    Moyes out

Professional football team v Amateurs tonight very sad to see.

    Pardiola is available.

Even Joe Kinnear might want a go.

Losing at home to Spurs isn't terrible by any stretch but this result does put big pressure on José, things aren't rosey off the field and its turning out to be a bit of a disaster on the pitch......not a good combo for any manager.

Looked very flat-footed there... would have been a difficult save anyway, but was totally caught on his heels, couldn't even move until it was too late.

It always amazes me that Smalling and Phil Jones have lasted for so long at United.

10 year contract for Mourinho, please! This is the most entertaining United team since the glory days of The Chosen One.

Spurs had their big chance the year Leicester won it. Decent team but a wee bit short.

Losing is ok but being completely embarrassed and having the whole football world laughing at you is terrible in fairness.
