Is MHRV classed as renewable energy for building regs?

    Does MHRV contribute to the 10kw per square metre under Part L?

    Not as far as I know! MVHR's don't generate anything, they just recover waste heat from the exhaust air.....

    no... its not a heating system.... its a ventilation system

    as mike says it doesnt produce anything, it just exchanges the heat from the stale air to the fresh air.

    Agreed. Not referenced as renewable by DEAP or TGD L or EU directives
