Door lock for Home Insurance

    Hi there, hoping someone can help.

    We're trying to get home insurance for our house, but it has an old wooden door and patio door at the front.

    The patio door has a lock and the inner wooden door has a chubb deadlock and a Yale lock. The agent we were speaking to says we'd need to have a 3 point door lock system at the front of the house. Does anyone know if what we actually have covers this? Hard to figure out and if we were to get a 3 point system we'd need to replace the whole door.

    Is the patio door a PVC or aluminium sliding door? That probably has a three or five point lock; you can tell by looking at the edge of the door and counting how many locking mechanisms connect with the door-frame. You can see these sliding up/down by locking/unlocking the door while it's open.
