Friend and I had a discussion last weekend about amount of notice to be given when house is possibly going to be sold.
Background information. He began renting in Aug 2008 with private landlord.Landlord went bankrupt. Auctioneers took over looking after lease. Then receivers took over from them in 2014.Still paying monthly without any issue.
He is wondering that the house he is in might be included in those vulture fund sales. Has received no letter or notice thus far.
If said fund decides to sell on the house , how much notice do they have to give him and how long would he have left in the house from say the day he receive's letter informing him of sale?
    Thanks in advance Boardsie's

224 days for any tenancy over 8 years duration. Your tenancy is 10 years (appointment of receivers etc makes no difference, it’s one unbroken tenancy).
