Neil Francis just spent 5 minutes waffling about the game on Matt Cooper.
Half way through admitted he hadn't watched the game :o

HE WAS ANALYSING A GAME HE HADN'T WATCHED

but decided that Montpellier aren't any good anyway.

Why can't some of the really good young journalists out there get the same exposure he does.

Why would anyone listen to Franno? Even if he watched the game he would get it wrong

He is only in a job because people listen to him

Unfortunately because of his indo columns, his views get read by casual fans... And they take his particular guff as gospel

Guts and bravery Connacht were outstanding Francis is outdated the way Irish rugby used to think. Connacht fixed my WC hangover what a performance pride and never say die wish the Irish team showed half as much heart.

Given it was Linley Mackenzie who tweeted it, he shocked if it’s not true. Great news.

The passion he had the last day I’ve no doubt he’ll be staying. He would have loved the kids demanding him to come out and sign autographs after the match too

Interesting to hear Jerry Flannery saying Robin Copeland was best athlete he ever saw in rugby on house of rugby podcast. Hopefully he stays fit for rest of season, if he can and maintains this form, be well worth a one year renewal, with age and injury profile, anything longer might be a risk.

Three more seasons should bring Marmion well beyond 200 cap level. Going to be tough to catch Muldoon on 327 but not impossible if he stays until end of his career. Will go down as an all time great for Connacht. Remember he played 48 games in a row or something like that after debut. Playing against Toulouse during another injury crisis when he had been puking on side of pitch few minutes beforehand. Legend.

Had forgotten about that run of games. He has been immense for us over the years.

IIRC he had a drip at half time. The squad was riddled with flu that year

    Squad training pictures

    Bad news :

Butler (wearing hood) and Gallagher (brace) are out

    Good news

Sean Masterson trained, might be included in the euro-squad AND Bealham seems training fully (scrum position), maybe a great surprise!

Anyone know if Peter Sullivan is being kept around?

He was pictured in training recently, would be very surprised if he isn’t

Finlay Bealham, Quinn Roux, Matt Healy, Tom Farrell, Shane Delahunt and Stephen Fitzgerald are all potentially available for this week.

    That's massive news!

Some big players back there, hope they aren’t being rushed back, need them properly fit for the next few months

That sounds like it very much is a push to get bundee into a central contract, which would be well deserved

I think we are winning on this transaction!
We have plenty of back three players now, and quite a reasonable pack.

Doesn't sound too serious for Leader hopefully back soon.
