TOH is a complete liability in defence

    Good win though

Wasn’t a great match tbh, dragons knocked on three times for near certain try’s before Connacht fired a shot. Nice to see Connacht so clinical in scoring three in such quick succession. Felt the foot was taken off the gas a little, should have finished 40/50 points on the board for Connacht.

Sob can’t be far from an international cap now at all. He’s been immense all year. Thought the new aussies all were impressive. Godwin should be nailed on at 13 with Farrell and bundee swapping 12 jersey when ever bundee is away.

Horwitz has a good first start, think he added a lot to the attack while also hitting hard in defense. Would like to see his kicking game tested more. Nice to see carty, Horwitz and Fitzgerald all getting minutes and looking solid. Faingaa was a work horse. Thought leader was impressive after not having a sniff with the first team all season.

Good to see some of the bench getting minutes to add to the depth, especially Burke and Conan.

A year out from RWC. There will be little to no new additions from here on. Certainly not in backrow where we are loaded

POM sob Stander Ruddock Jordi VDF Conan
Also have Henderson and Beirne as options for 6

SOB 2.0 literally 9th in pecking order for #6

Oh I know it’s a terrible timing for him but if it wasn’t so close to the World Cup he should be have been involved . I was more trying to say that he’s test standard now, that was what his third man of the match this year? Sob has also played 4,5,6,8 professionally so pretty versatile if there was an injury to the back/ second row.

Have to say that Leader was immense yesterday. Like a man possessed and he really gave us a huge kick up the hole after Dragons bottled that 2 on 1 chance in the first half. It was like his old self that got him into the Irish training camp.

Also thought it was O'Donnells best outing so far in the first team. Was much better carrying.

Marmion was much improved too. Ball was coming out quicker to him than last week. Bodes well for him that McGrath didn't have a great showing in Chicago last night too.

Horwitz looked a bit nervy kicking out of hand but in fairness he was much better than Sale. He got that Colby try going nicely.

De Buitlear had a tidy match too while it was still a contest. Very good at cleaning up in the 22.

    Agree with EVERY words here
Horwitz in-field clearance was questionable though...Often straight in oppenent arms, central counter-attacking position

On another note, Fainga'a is a fast active dynamic and complete n°7. He should becaume a key man for us
Hard to drop one of Butler/SOB/Boyle, but still...
Masterson will struggle to be back in the 23

Kings looking like an absolute rabble against the Leinster u12s. Unless they turn things around massively in the next few weeks we really should be beating them.

Think those four will be in the 23 when ever fit and rotation isn’t needed. For me butler and sob and nailed on as two starters with faingaa and Boyle fighting it out for the third starting spot and the bench spot. Choosing which ever suits the opposition best

I’d be hoping two bonus point wins are the target down there. Most games seem to be high scoring and coming home with ten points would set the team up nicely for a tough December/January

Yeah the Kings are a rabble but they have a knack of dragging better teams down to their level, creating a chaotic mess that somewhat resembles rugby, in which they thrive. Their home form isn't terrible:

    7-28 vs Ulster
    38-28 vs Glasgow
    34-41 vs Scarlets
    31-38 vs Leinster

When are Connacht in SA. Once Leinster tight 5 took control and discipline was good from 25-40min Kings crumbled. Lesson there for Connacht

Only three points behind Munster who are second in the conference. Not a bad place to be in considering there’s still so much room for improvement

Not in the worst position to be fair but the Glasgow and Ospreys losses were real missed opportunities. At least they are still well in touch.

The S.A trip will be crucial. They should win both. If they leave points on the board it's going to cost them in the long run.

Real opportunities yeah and especially that Ospreys result will be painful but picked up two bonus points that could prove important later in the season.

With Cardiff and Ospreys our main competition for a top 3 finish I decided to make a table that shows the current points of each team and their respective run ins

I'll try to keep it updated each week but make no guarantees

    Connacht 21| Ospreys 23| Cardiff 22
    Kings (A)| Leinster (A) |Glasgow (A)
    Cheetahs (A)| Zebre (H) |Ulster (A)
    Leinster (A)| Scarlets (H) |Dragons (H)
    Ulster (H)| Dragons (A) |Scarlets (A)
    Munster (H)| Cardiff (H) |Ospreys (A)
    Cardiff (A)| Glasgow (A) |Connacht (H)
    Cheetahs (H)| Ulster (H) |Glasgow (H)
    Glasgow (A)| Munster (H) |Edinburgh (A)
    Ospreys (H)| Connacht (A) |Kings (H)
    Treviso (H)| Dragons (H) |Scarlets (H)
    Zebre (A)| Cheetahs (A) |Munster (A)
    Cardiff (H)| Kings (A) |Connacht (A)
    Munster (A)| Cardiff (A) |Ospreys (H)

Managed to finally watch the game, quietly impressed by Horowitz. Some good place kicking outside of a pretty poor kick from a difficult angle for Leaders try and seems to play flatter to the line than Carty. Needs to step up the tactical kicking but seems to be a decent signing based on this outing

Two games against Munster in the sports ground, season ticket was good value this year haha. Looking at that though Cardiff have the toughest run in

Cardiff could lose 5 of their next 6. Ospreys could lose 3 or 4 of that block too. Connacht need to be looking at 4 wins minimum in that block.
