Wife agreed today that family will all come to kaleidoscope and camp next year. I will be relying on you experienced lot next year to help me out on the camping as dont normally camp and need to get it right or the missus will leave after day 1 and likely without the kids. two teenagers and one almost teenager on my own at a festival wont work.

Has anyone here any feedback on Harvest Moon camping? Quality of site, location, facilities and what does the VIP wristband entitle you too?

It’s a bit of an upgrade on Pink Moon site. Better access to showers and toilets and opportunity to book better class of tent.

Access to the VIP bar comes with all “boutique” bookings including Harvest and Pink. The bar is nothing special.

Hey everyone, 3rd Picnic this year, 1st time poster on this thread! I’ve been lurking in d shadows, laughing, agreeing & disagreeing with d comments! Been a lot more giddy bout this years Picnic for some reason! Dunno why! also felt d need to comment on viagra boys tho, been a while since I got so giddy (nearly horny, all puns intended) on d first few listens to a band! Late electric arena would be epic, can’t see it happening, prob 6oc! I am there tho.....,

Have you recovered from 1975 yet?

Ha ha. Class. A great day yesterday sorted me out. A few fine young UK & Congolese acts, some Michael Kiwanuka, Mac Demarco & Death Grips rebalanced my equilibrium.

Would that include Silk Road Tents too.

Yep, comes with Silk Road, podpads etc but not with the basic Pink Moon.

Another addition for that tent could be Snapped Ankles. Superb yesterday. Hoping to catch Life later. Jerry Fish could do us a favour by booking a few of these acts.

    Would love Snapped Ankles.

Please please let us have this weather come picnic time. Have the camping moon chair out the back with bbc r6 providing the tunes. Very tempted to crack a can open ...

If the weather stays like this you’ll feel like you have snapped ankles by the Sunday.

I never understood this phrase about school days. My school days were far drunker than my boring adult work days

You'll have me craving for an Indian summer for August and September. :)

The middle of July, no sign of a second announcement and all is zen on the EP thread. The bastards have broken us. This time last year, there were thousands of posts a day, hundreds of thousands, wailing and gnashing of teeth, people losing their **** all over the place. Look what they've done to us.

I think that the first line up announcement was so much better than last years, that even if no more acts were announced, it's solid. IMO of course.

That's what I'm talking about right there, Dave. Broken.

They're so blasé about it, they forget to announce things sometimes! There's bits emerging every couple of days. I'm lucky enough to be going to both but if I wasn't, I'd certainly be casting envious glances.

I think this is a big contributor to the pretty calm thread - half of us are headed to ATN are focused on that for the next fortnight! :D

Yup the ATN excitement is building alright, especially if we get weather like this!

This is a fair response. And if I knew how to post gifs, I'd be sending a pretty smug one right back.
