Had heard a lot of hype about him so gave a few of his songs a listen today, he’s be grand on Saturday or Sunday, main stage around 5 with the sun shining and a few beers in.
But if clashed with anyone I was half thinking of seeing I wouldn’t be too bothered about missing him.

Happy with Johnny Marr / Richard Ashcroft / David Keenan / Otherkin / Talos
I'll give a bit more of a listen to Girl in red / Just Mustard / Silverbacks / Viagra Boys / Pow Pig, but all sound right up my alley.

    Add these to:-
    Strokes
    Four Tet
    Rósín Murphy
    Streets
    Courtney Barnett
    Echo
    Parquet Courts
    Bodega

.. and it's shaping up quite nicely..
    6 weeks to go.

I'm honestly firmly entrenched in the Couldn't Give A Horse's Flying **** About The Stokes campsite, but I'm not the target audience there. I wasn't into them first time around and I'm sure there'll be other options. Would be nice to see at least one headline act but sue it'll be grand when Underworld or Orbital are announced.

Ah the Stokes, classic boy band material!

Of the four that are listed to date, if there's nothing clashing then I might give Flo Jo a whirl, no active dislike of the others, just zero interest.

But can they do it on a balmy evening in Stradbally?

    a bit prematurely optimistic there?

Not a bit of it, Spanish Plume combining with a Scandinavian High or somesuch.

Spanish Plume sounds like an Iberian version of a French Tickler.

In fairness, I've invested in a new lightweight waterproof jacket so it definitely won't rain at all this year.

Are Attention Bebe playing again this year? They were great last year.

they've been there the last 5 years I was there with varying timeslots and stages. Prefer when they are on late circa 1am trailer park as the past two years they've been on about 9pm fri/sat which usually is a big clash and hard to justify going to see them again over a big act, but perfect for late hours as I hate the rave in the woods.

Might be a bit pedantic but why didn't EP announce Jonny Marr in the original announcement when he had already self-announced months ago and hold back one of the big artists on the original announcements.
Razorlight still haven't been announced either despite them self announcing too. Again surely it would have been worth announcing them now and holding back on a Gerry Cinnamon for example?

they'd have their PR schedule of announcements mapped out at least 6 months in advance and print / radio booking planned.
For something even as dumb as the poster graphic and other website assets, some poor bugger has to have multiple versions of those planned, dtp'ed, proofed and then published on schedule and that's not something you're going to redo to take into account Marr or others self announcing.

Ya I get that but didn't Marr announce last year sometime? Surely gives you enough time to be flexible with editing posters and schedules etc. Also I am sure there have been a few bands who have pulled out over the past 6/7 months for one reason or another that we may not have heard about so there would have to be edits made to schedules and posters to allow for that I guess. Like Gerry Cinnamon would surely have just been added to the line up int he past few months - why not add in Razorlight too?
Anyway I suppose it does tell us there are more to come which is to be welcomed I guess.

Was it not Echo & the Bunnymen who showed an EP poster in their post with Johnny Marr's name in it in March?

    Talos is a decent addition

Had Eoin as a college tutor for a few years, was one of the few tutors that actually seemed to give a ****, happy that he/they are doing well

He’s very talented, not sure I’d have bought his music back when we used to do that but for a sleepy train journey with the headphones in, he’s perfect.

His Live EP sounds good, he manages not to send his audience off to sleep.

Will be looking to buy 2 tickets tomorrow week on payday.
As usual I sorted my pink moon glamping first when I had no ticket!

Was sorted out by Scruff Monkey and another sound member on here with face value tickets last year. Appreciate any help in not entering the Toutless/Adverts madness!

if anyone selling can please PM me, want to make it 6 EPs in a row :D

Sure didn't the official festival tee shirt last year only have half the lineup on the back which was the first announcement and none of the second announcement on it, no Prodigy, no Death Grips among others

I know this isn't a ticket forum so apologies, but, where is the most reliable place to find a ticket now? I wasn't in a position to buy one at the time and they didn't hang about long. Will there be more released closer to the date?

The Electric Picnic Banter Facebook page seems to have tickets for sale every day - the moderators don't seem to take any guff either so they're always at face value or the posts are removed/slagged to death.
