I dunno, forbid him from driving the Range Rover for a month. Reduce him to nothing and make him go around in the 161 Audi A6. That’ll show him

    He has an Audi A5.

    At 18.

    Not bad going

You are obviously a nasty piece of work.

They're a nasty family. Any family that supports a paedo deserve everything they get. Rachel may be hot, but that doesn't mean she's not a cúnt!

He lives on the second floor.

Yes, I think I've seen him before.
I like their products so no I won’t stop buying them. The relish is the best you can get.

I wouldn't give them twopence - that family give me the creeps!

What’s your point about ‘such a household’?

A household in which everybody is so well spoken, cultured and monied. I didn’t mention Tim, if that’s what you are alluding to.

I would certainly be open to eating her peanut butter and white chocolate brownie anytime.

I think its fair to say, young people can make mistakes, and this lad certainly did.

But I think the anger is understandable. People saying its begrudgery etc, I don't think it is.

Begrudgery is jealousy of one's success for no real reason.

The fact is, if this was someone from a less priveleged background it wouldn't be creating as much controversy. But it is, because the circumstances are different. This young man had no need to be greedy. Has his own a5, a succssful instagram account, access to money which could have been used to beter himself.

And fair play to him for all that, and his comfortable position. But with that comes extra responsibility. And he blew it. So he'll take the responsibility for his actions this way.

Regardless, in 5 years time, this will all be in the past. He'll still be from a wealthy family, still have a lifestyle that was given to him. And with that, comes the downside that people are going to talk about it. Not a bad trade off.

You are not allowed be successful in begrudging Ireland.

Nobody is saying that, but others sell drugs because they have to. Here you have a rich kid, born with a silver spoon in his mouth and he doesn’t appreciate any of it.

How very smug and self righteous of you.
Her Father in Law was caught with child pornography.
How does that make her a ‘c*unt’?

The fact that you refer to her as ‘hot’ in the same sentence as calling her a c*unt says all we need to know about you.

Her persona is fine and nice but she's either super naive or negligent (or something) to put up with the kid posting all the stuff on facebook he has - since 13 or 14 years of age he has posted pictures of himself drinking, smoking spliffs, porny shots of cannabis leaves etc. Maybe he thought he was above the law but it's just so dumb with his family in the public eye etc...he was clearly not a big time dealer but still.

If he's smoking it since that age, it's no wonder he has trouble reading and writing.

Lads ye need to chill out, a bit of weed isn't destroying anyone's life.

Smoking that young would genuinely impair your cognitive abilities.

It's a bit of weed  the outrage is hilarious

    Comical

The moral high ground some people here are taking over of the devil's lettuce is hilarious also...

    "Weed is a gateway drug"

Gateway to Tesco at 2 o clock in the morning with their fellow stoner zombies looking for munchies :)

The same lad wanted to be a formula 1 driver. You wouldn't be thinking of achieving that if you have a learning disability.

I wish people would get their facts right before mouthing off here.

Are we allowed to call him a "scumbag" or is that reserved for the lower class drug dealer..??

..btw...Her new book "My son the drug dealer" is out next month...she'll be plugging it on the late late...:).

No, the opposite, there were images at the more extreme end of the scale. Anyone who accesses this material contributes towards the abuse of children. Even the “milder” images. For his family to close ranks and publicly brush it off like it was nothing is despicable. If the trial judge was “angry”, he can feck off. Tim Allen got off easy.

There was more to the story than meets the eye - Tim put family before himself......

No one believes that rumour the family spread that he was a brave father covering for his son. He's a sex offender who got off on looking at children being abused.

There is no way weed is just harmless. And yes I’ve lived with weed users in my time. Most of my twenties anyway.

Some people believe that. I don’t know what’s true but I doubt the family would blame the son. That’d be weird.

We were all stupid at that age. Just different levels of stupidity. He's in the higher echelons and should be reprimanded accordingly.
Hopefully the state can succeed where the parents didn't.

It could have been. Unnamed son, paint Tim as a family hero taking a bullet to the heart to save a child.

They've carefully curated the message since Tim's conviction; do a google on it and you'll find nothing but news stories about success and rising above it all. Even her wikipedia page has been progressively edited down to remove any suggestion that there might something dodgy.

Rachel Allen married into that. I'd say the entire family are toxic egotists who'd step on anyone to get their way.

Fact is, for most families, one criminal every two or three generations is bad luck. This is the second major crime for this family in the space of 20 years. It means something stinks.

All I know is I heard it from a good friend of mine who was a long time Ballymaloe staff member and who was working there at the relevant time - and I heard it from them long before I heard it anywhere else.

The family member involved is not unnamed plus, way I hear it, it wasn't them specifically being 'saved', but rather the interlinked career of an extended family member. That's about as specific as I can get I'm afraid.

In reality, this whole situation is no more serious than if he was caught trying to import a truckload load of booze from the continent, failed to declare it and was caught.
