I am going to see if I can get one of these on the BTW scheme. I was wondering would anyone know if a retailer in Dublin sells them for around my budget of €1000?

You shuold be able to get the Brompton S-Type 2speed from CSS for under €1000 with a BTW.......with a bit of persuasion.

You need to find another €300 to get the next cheapest, the M-Type 6speed

No (Dublin or rest of Ireland)- you will need to go over that budget or else go second hand.

It is a bit pricey? Asking for €850 considering it is 2002 is a bit cheeky (looks in great nick though).

    Bit frothy alright!

In saying that there is no reason they shouldn't hold their value once maintained well.

Why isn't the 3-speed cheaper than the 6-speed? The 6-speed has hub gears and a derailleur, while the 3-speed only has the hub gears.

Hollingsworth up in Stillorgan/Kilmacud do them and offer BTW. Been thinking about it myself.

Lime Green would not be the best seller I'd say.
With a decent trade in ya might get the higher spec M-Type 6speed for €1,000

Have a 2006 Brompton (from the old factory) - will last a lifetime if giving a bit of care alright.

Have you considered an ebike? I would guess many getting fold up bikes are using public transport as the commute is too long or they have no shower facilities etc. A decent ebike would cost more initially but you are not paying for public transport, and the overall commute time might be far less. If you properly factor in waiting times at luas/train stops etc.
