    Brendan o Carroll
    Imelda may
Finbarr Fury for the 100th time.

What a big pile of steaming SHÏTE

Did Imelda cancel her gig tonight?
12th of October and I've not heard a single firework, the youth of today have no appetite for danger and craic.

Can you still buy them on the streets of Dublin? Haven't seen them on sale in years.

Imelda May will presumably tell us how she grew up eating coddle.

Finbarr looking very well. A lot younger than he looked in previous appearances. good to see him looking well.

Bit of a Chrissie Hynde vibe going with Imelda?

She's a bit fuzzy from alcohol or some substance.

Imelda making it sound as if she was dressed in dirty rags being forced onto the boat against her will.

Not easily, not heard any hawkers openly selling. Cigs and tobacco is the year round product they concentrate on, big market with the budget putting 50 cent a go on them.

There's definitely one person in that room tonight sucking the life out of this TV show.

London has a music venue called the Dublin Castle http://thedublincastle.com/

And Dublin Castle in Dublin used also used to have the odd gig, which led to much confusion.

That place in London needs a rebrand.

Ah here, Imelda stop the drama.

Right, over to Mr. Furey. A proper artist with a real story to tell.

I took meself to London, boss, with the travelling folk

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 721 ✭✭✭Defaulter1831

Big difference cognitively. Finbarr is with it. Imelda seems sedated.

As we speak, Ralph McTell is anxiously sitting by the phone waiting for the call from RTE.

He has a song to sing. :)

Must have been really tough moving to such a non multicultural city like London in 2012 for her. My heart bleeds.

I'd say she's trying to distance herself from that lark, given her performance this evening.

It was a terrible time for both sides, Ryan, both the irish nationalists and for your side as well.

In fairness, Finbar we steal their songs too.

Dirty Old Town was written about Salford by Ewan MacColl.

    Not Dublin.

Not Ralph with his tedious "Have you seen the old man...." b@llocksology

    Absolute misery fest.

If you look up the dictionary for the phrase "not fit to lace up one's boots" you find a large picture of Terry Wogan and a small picture of Ryan Tubridy underneath it.

And yes it is a very special dictionary that I have that includes phrases as well as words. So there.

This has always annoyed me. That's a Manchester song. I'd imagine probably 90% of people don't know that, yet people see it as some sort of Dublin anthem

Is Graham still in the building?

Can we bring him back as a Sub for Tubs?

The echo is just annoying at this stage. 30 years ago there was a slight echo in the TV studio that Wogan did the Wogan show- and it added to the show vibe. But this is the 21st century and the echo is just taking away from the whole show.

Thanks RTE- waste my licence fee on this crap production!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 24,840 ✭✭✭✭Kermit.de.frog

She basically just said Terry Wogan called her a slut on radio.

Can’t wait for Imelda to ruin whatever duet they’re gonna sing.

"Now the sun shines down on the"

    "Du Wop De Bop"

    "Green fields of France"

I recall less than 20 years ago having machine guns pointed at my car going through checkpoints up north, how far away that now seems.

A blood sub if I was within 3 feet of Tubs!

You could take him, put him in Ryan’s seat with zero preparation and the show would instantly be fun. Ryan Tubridy has the charisma of a wet coat.
