Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

So what if sport "brings people together", The Only Way Is Essex brings people together, Love Island brings people together... doesn't mean they're good!

Can't help but notice there is an overdose of nostalgia on the show. Ironically this is the same sort of sentiment which led to the Brexit vote.

Anyone ever try Barry McGuigan Onion Rings which allegedly also came in Nettle flavour?

I'm out. This is just Brexit bollox combined with insecure Irish bollox. Headin for the curry and bed. Poor Mick McCarthy.

I wouldn't mind if there was some reason for it. Like 25 year anniversary of 1990 or something like that, which they have done things like that and you had a bunch of people prominent in it on, that would be fine. I have no clue why Mick McCarthy and Barry McGuigan are just randomly reminiscing like this, it's bizarre.

Mick is our most underrated national manager in my lifetime. His team's tried to play football.

Things didn't go well for Kerr, who I rate for amazing underage achievement, Staunton, Trap and O'Neill all long ball crap. Charlton too considering the players he had.

Football became too mainstream in 1990, it was better before that.

He just said Mick was born in bred in England and now he's asking him about the affect it had on the regular common or garden spud muncher across the Irish Sea. How the f**k would he know?

Why bring up Saipan. I'd rather hear more about the Irish side of McCarthy's family/childhood.
Is that not what tonight's show is supposed to be about?

Ireland did very well in 2002 WC given the circumstances, they were so close against Spain.

yeah, they played good attacking football under Mick McCarthy and played it well. Bring him back, why did he ever leave? It might coax Dunphy back into the RTE studio just to criticize him as a bonus.
