Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    This, is where we're heading.

Movies have been pre-programming us for years of this dystopia becoming reality in 'first-world' countries... "modular homes" yeah, right .... Shipping containers stacked and inhabited.

    hospitals too :

The modular building is located on the site of South Tipperary General Hospital.

A spokeswoman said: "The name of the successful bidder is Healthcare Accommodation and Staffing Solutions Ltd (HASS).

"This is a consortium and Extraspace Solutions Ltd is the modular build provider.

"The contract is a five-year lease.

"At the end of the five-year lease period, the HSE will have the option to retain or remove.

    and an A&E extension

People who work in Dublin but cannot afford crazy rents. Students. People who require services or supports only available in Dublin for their health because of specific conditions. People who are already in Dublin and recently became unemployed or graduated and expect to find work in Dublin in a reasonable time period.

...all of those people are valid cases for support with basic accommodation, but it should be an interim measures for most until the system can be fixed.

Probably left out a couple of valid scenarios too. But a lot of people are being accommodated who don’t have any particular need to be in Dublin and can’t afford to be there is very counter-productive and unfair.

Its not just a Dublin problem. Rents are up everywhere. Most workers in Dublin earn more than workers outside Dublin so everybody is feeling the pinch just as much.

If we are going to start culling then can we start with low intelligence and work up?

That is exactly what I have suggested
