Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

HELP constant water pump sound from afar

It's midnight and I keep hearing the sound that the water pump makes when I'm using hot water, but the thing is that it's not the pump in my apartment, I hear it from far away. I thought it was someone playing with the lift in the apartment but now it's a constant sound. It goes off after 5-7 second breaks and runs for 3 seconds. And it's constant.

It's not my pump and I can't seem to understand where the noise is coming from and whether or not I should be worried. I can hear water trickle into my tank after the sound stops for some reason?

    Thanks a lot lol ;<

EDIT: Water is no longer trickling into my tank, that was probably just normal filling after I used water. I no longer hear any sounds from my apartment but the constant on/off of the pump is going on. I shouldn't be worried, should I? It feels like the entire apartment is shaking.

A pump cycling on / off that constantly and frequently is usually indicative that the water system in that apartment is loosing water pressure. It may be through the filling valve in the toilet cistern, or it may be a dripping tap, or worse, there could be a water escape somewhere from a pipe or the pump itself could be leaking.

I would advise contacting the management company as soon as possible for them to investigate this issue further as from my own experience, these issues can develop into greater problems resulting in serious water damage to adjoining apartments and the building.

Don't forget to inform them that the noise is a nuisance and is keeping you awake at night.
