So was not sure where the right thread for this is. How reliable are they in the states. Obviously they say 100% guaranteed but anyone could write that.

Saw a few advertised like showticketbooth. Only in the states for the week 2 weekend so would love to catch a game.

I used fanxchange to buy a concert ticket. Got to the venue, scanned the ticket and... "That ticket was refunded already".

I was pissed. I got a refund for what I paid and they claim they will also send me another 50% as a cheque but that didn't change the fact I didn't get to see the concert.

They are as reliable as the person selling the ticket I guess but you are covered for a refund at least. Unlike buying off somebody outside.

For most teams, you can buy resale tickets on Ticketmaster. Seatgeek and Stubhub would be the most reputable ticket tout sites that i have used from time to time.

From my experience with buying resale tickets for the Patriots (obviously it could vary team to team as they are in different markets) is that Thursday or Friday before a Sunday game are the cheapest times to buy tickets.

My theory as to why that is (and from knowing season ticket holders), is that all the tickets are bought up by season ticket holders months ago. The season ticket holders throw their tickets up on the ticket tout sites for a hefty profit, chancing their arm they will sell. The week leading up to the game if they don't sell them, they start dropping the prices and by Friday if they haven't sold the tickets, they then decide to go to the game themselves or offload the tickets to friends. On Saturday, the number of tickets available on the ticket touts sites drop significantly and the price goes back up.

E.g. today i could get tickets to Pats Chiefs on Sunday for $150 (incl fees) on Ticketmaster, the next home game against the Dolphins (Sept 30th), the cheapest ticket is $300 (incl fees)

Used one (think stub hub) for a concert for when we were in new york. A little over face value. It had "tickets 100% guarenteed or a full refund" (which is the very least you want!). They came through a few days before concert via email.

NFL changing their policy (or Jets at least) where all tickets have to be on your Jets app to gain entry). Got them.off Vivid seats for.the Texans game at under face value and thought it'd be a similar story but 2/3 weeks later get an email saying they were ready to download on app. Have them safely in my account now and don't have to sweat closer to the date

Went to a giants game last year with printed stubhub tickets, we got to the entrance and was told these tickets have already been used that day so no entry. Rang stubhub helpline while outside the stadium and they arranged upgraded tickets to the mezzanine club right behind the benches, I was delighted, although the whole ordeal lasted nearly an hour in freezing cold and the game was about to kick off when we got to our seats. The staff at MetLife stadium said they see that kind of thing a lot and they were really helpful. My advice would be go early just in case.
