As someone who has played DF1 for over a decade, I can say that (in terms of its previous title), Dead Frontier 2 is a huge step forward for the franchise. However, those unfamiliar with the first will have a much different perspective. Either way, it's an 'early access' title at present that has some bare-bones aspects and various other clunky things awaiting refinement and polish, but certainly a better handled early-access compared to various others I've tried over the past few years. Been thoroughly enjoying it for pushing 20hrs now and still plenty to do. Give it a try!
