I reckon Till will slice Woodley up. Late finish or comfortable points win.

KK/Andrade new co-main, Dodson/Riviera bumped to main card.

Till goat. Shame on all you haters wishing he missed weight.

His destiny awaits. "and the new..."

can we get a poll on this lads?

sounds like we are split down the middle here but I'm curious overall

    thanks guys

Woodley has the ability to slow any fight down to a crawl and really sap the explosiveness out of his fights since he's become champ. I think he'll grind out a decision as Till won't have the wrestling chops to win a decision, nor the ability to penetrate Woodley's defense. Woodley knows if Till starts to out-strike him that he can take a fight to the ground at a moments notice, it wasn't needed against Wonderboy because he doesn't throw Till's volume, but I can forsee Woodley adding to his five UFC takedowns tomorrow night and taking a fight 4-1.

Till for me. TKOs an exhausted, turtled up Woodley in the 4th.

This is pretty hilarious: a weight cutting Till discovers ASMR :D

That's class, I love Till lads.

Also this thread is broken for me, I have to go into the new site to be able to use it which is annoying.

The UFC have had nothing but headaches with the new women's divisions. Two shambolic champions in the Dutch woman who's name I can't even remember and now Montano. She didn't pull out on purpose but jesus this is the last thing they needed.
They've had headaches of their own creation. They're putting nobodies into title contention and then acting surprised when they're flakey or unprofessional.

Montana was 3-2 when she got that title fight, via winning a reality show. Her pro debut was 2 years previous to the title shot. I know WMMA has a small talent pool but that's still madness.

Agreed. Which is why they should have just stuck with the fleshed out 135 and 115 classes. After Cyborg leaves hopefully they scrap 145 because that's not even a division and nobody gives a crap about 125 either.

another really weak card tbh. main fight is awesome of course but card is not worth staying up for imo.

head to bed after the prelims myself, reckon I'll have seen the
    best of it by then

if there's a couple of good fights on the main card it'll be as much and two at a stretch

Not me, in for the long haul as I want to see Till live

I wasn't aware montano was stripped of her title

    Yes.

I think she deserved to be stripped, Valentina hinted at there being much more to the story in the background, even went so far as to say this was intentional, i.e, missing the fight.

    What's your take?

She replied to someone on Twitter with this "Thank you. I’m doing good. Just keeping an eye on how my kidneys are feeling hour by hour. My sodium level has returned to normal levels so now it’s just a matter of paying attention to any change. Docs said if I had waited any longer I could’ve potentially gone into cardiac arrest because my electrolyte imbalance was so extreme, so it was a good thing the UFC docs had me go to the hospital."

It was the UFC doctors who made the decision to send her to the a&e so they obviously saw something they thought was bad enough to warrant that. If that's true about her kidneys then she should be striped and made to move up in weight.

she deserved to be stripped, delayed the fight twice already and now pulled out.
I think there'll little doubt she didn't want to be there

Card is starting now :D I haven't got to stay up for a card in a long time, so I'll be up all night for this

Will be staying up for this one as usual. Looking forward to seeing Zabit fight, has the potential to be holding the belt if he stays on track. Hopefully Till can get the job done, Woodley is a beast amd has all the tools there but just goes for the safe win and makes boring fights. Id rather see Till in an exciting fight defending the belt any day.

Entertaining first round from the women. Think I'll hit the hay after this and catch the rest in the morning. Have Woodley on pts but will be cheering on Till, hope he does it.

edit: very good women's fight there

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,149 ✭✭✭mangobob

Great fight. Total respect for both of those ladies.

  • Registered Users Posts: 3,161 ✭✭✭Amazingfun

Might be the best female fight I've seen, WOW.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 802 ✭✭✭KingJamsie

That was fight number 38 out of 48 fights this year for the Women that has gone the distance

    Awesome fight though!

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,149 ✭✭✭mangobob

Wow. Its early days, but this card has started well.

Delighted for Jim Miller, and as above great start to the card!

would make my night to see diego and jim win on the same night

Sound, I was going by the listings.
    All calm now.

Back on topic I want a Woodley win but finding it hard not to see Till winning.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 23,939 ✭✭✭✭mailburner

this is what diego should have been doing for years...his bread and butter

not sure if this will go three now

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 28,710 ✭✭✭✭Paully D

White is an average regional fighter.

I have no idea at all why they bothered calling him up even on short notice against Magny, nor why they then gave him a shot against a big (albeit finished) name.

One of the UFC’s strangest signings.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 802 ✭✭✭KingJamsie

    How embarrassing

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 23,939 ✭✭✭✭mailburner

so happy for diego...such a long time since he used those tactics and how good he is doing it

Who have you seen Till beat and or what about Till makes you think it would be closer than that? Woodley will smash him :D

I watched the fight before cowboy I think it was and wasn't particularly impressed, but as usual, bit of marketing and i'm semi-hyped. If anything to see Woodley throwing down a bit more than his last fights

look back at the thread and you'll see more have gone for till but in
    the poll it's the opposite

Nothing more than that....correct me if I'm wrong :D

Good to see Camacho up and about after that. That was vicious.
