Didn't take long. Carlson cut, Bailey signed in Minnesota.

Gonzalez also cut in Cleveland, they've signed some guy I've never heard of who did a try out first.

Apparently Gonzalez had a groin injury the last 2 weeks but they still played him. If they are willing to cut him at this stage why not just do it earlier and get a fit kicker and potentially win their last 2 games. Browns...

Trubisky isn't playing well. Two overthrows, one of which could have went for a TD if he hits Gabriel. One underthrown and picked. Another tipped at the line and picked. Poor read on a run that cost us a first down.

Mack is dominating though. What a player.

Trubisky needs to calm down and Nagy needs to run a lot more. Not using Howard enough. Should be up by a lot more than 7 points.

Jesus it's only dumb luck that he doesn't have four interceptions.

janikowski looks like he's fond of a bit of butter on his spuds. He can kick though.

No matter how ridiculously dominant the defense it's not going to be enough to win this game unless trubisky can learn to be calm in his decision making. He gets flustered under pressure and does bone head things. Robinson is doing good and making plays, Howard is shouldering a lot, he's getting the protection, his defense is unbelievable, the crowd is as good as I've heard it in years. No excuses now, if he can't win with these conditions, he can't win.

Fantastic drive on now, really interesting playcalling, they have the Seahawks reeling. TD here and we're in business.

Josh Bellamy is catching footballs. Taylor Gabriel is playing RB and Snoop Dogg is trying to sell me erectile dysfunction pills on every ad break. Just another Monday night.

Funniest line tonight I never would have expected to hear in the NFL..

“He’s facing jail time and he’s giving everything he has for his team.”

Haha, I mean it could probably describe any number of players in the league at any given time, but still...

Prince you legend. Badly needed that. Was starting to feel like last week.

Yeah was just telling my wife I'm giving up on football for the year, had that same sinking feeling.

Could feel another turnover coming for the past few minutes because of what the commentator just said about 1v1s up front.

    Close it out now!

That'll do. Not at all convinced about our offense, but that D are going to be a nightmare all year, I don't care how crap the Seahawks o line is. And not just Mack. Hicks was savage again, as always, Smith showed up big time, trevathan, Fuller was improved, Prince did what he did. They will be fun to watch, if the offense can let them get a rest in games.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 45,433 ✭✭✭✭thomond2006

The offense made enough plays but we are going to be reliant on that defense. A favourable matchup next at the Cardinals. That should be a win.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,294 ✭✭✭coco0981

Seahawks just don't have enough players to cope with the loss of Baldwin, Wagner and KJ Wright. Going to be a tough season. O-Line is poor as usual but don't have a pass rush to make up for it anymore. And Russell looks skittish in the pocket, has taken too much punishment in last few years. I'd be surprised we get to 8 wins

But Bears look great on defense, Mack is some addition

Jon Gruden bemoaning the lack of pass rush is bizarre!

I think it is a very interesting slate of games this week. There are three brilliant looking divisional clashes among playoff contenders. Ravens-Bengals, Vikings-Packers and Panthers-Falcons.

Then we have two massive AFC heavyweight clashes between Chiefs & Steelers, as well as Patriots & Jags.

In fact most of the other games have some intrigue. The games in Chicago and Dallas will tell us a lot about who might be in the playoff hunt in the NFC. I am very interested to see who emerges from the Dolphins Jets game with a 100% record.

This is a great time of year.

9-7 on the week, takes me to 17-15 overall.

7-9 on the week leaves me a paltry 16-16 for the year. That's what you'd expect betting with a spread, not straight up. Onwards to week 3.

KC Pit game should be interesting, they have had our number for a while and I would expect a very high scoring game
GB Vikings should be a great matchup provided Rodgers plays
Pats Jags is another great one
