Week one can throw up some funny results every year, so hard to read too much into it ahead of week 2.

Vikings v Packers is the pick of the games for me - I expect these two to be slugging it out for the North come seasons end, (as long as Rodgers stays healthy that is) Which team is the real Packers - the one the Bears mauled in the first half or the unstoppable force we saw in the second? My money is on the former, and Zimmer won't make the same mistake Nagy did in going conservative up 17.

Panthers v Falcons is another interesting divisional tie. Falcons carried over their poor form from last year, and while they played the Eagles close, their Offense has looked pedestrian since Shanahan left, while Carolina handled Dallas easily.

Denver should be beating the Raiders at home from what we saw of the two teams in week one. As JRG mentioned earlier however, while the team look stronger on paper, VJ has not earned the confidence of the fans just yet.

The Raven's plan of gassing their defence in the first quarter worked a treat. Game was over by that point and complete luck got the game to a two score game at half time. That pass to John Brown

Thursday nights really do throw up absolute stinkers and piles of injuries.
