A what bike thread?

    Going to use my btw for an mtb in a few weeks time and would like some advice from anyone with experience of the following bikes.
    My employer will only let me deal with two stores, of which I can get a cube acid, trek xcalibur 8 or giant fathom 2.
    I would be using the bike as a foil to my road bike. Basically, one I can use on rugged terrain and perhaps for some bikepacking in the future and trail riding.
    I’m leaning towards the fathom 2 29er as I’ve risen a few giant road bikes and trust the brand. Any thoughts would be appreciated.

    All really good brands, I've had bikes from all three now, currently have a cube enduro, it's a beast, but the other bikes were just hardtails, so not comparable. Try get a go of all three brands if you can, even it's not the exact models, but something similar, you ll have an idea yourself after sitting on them, as I think purchasing is a very personal choice.

    Got a Cube Attention SL 29er on btw. It's an xc (Not that I really understood that when I got it). So far loving it having visited Ballyhoura, Portumna and Nire Valley. Not as aggressive as friends Nukeproof Scout or Kona, but not embarrassing myself at the same time.
