Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Watford-Man-Utd-702x336-e1536996035250.jpg

    Teams:
Watford XI: Foster, Janmaat, Cathcart, Kabasele, Holebas, Doucoure, Capoue, Hughes, Pereyra, Gray, Deeney.

Man United XI: De Gea, Valencia, Smalling, Lindelof, Young, Pogba, Fellaini, Matic, Sanchez, Lingard, Lukaku.

High-flying Watford are riding a wave of optimism after beating Spurs a few weeks back, while United are hoping the previous away win at Burnley will put their season back on track.

How do you see this game unfolding?

I'll go for United to edge it but I'm not confident.

Watford starting to pose problems. Top reflexes from DDG. Might be needed a few times today.

Interesting start here. Watford certainly interested in keeping up their start to the season. It will be interesting to see if Pogba is interested in performing to the level he is capable of. There will be alot of interest from other fans in the result.

All in all, an interesting evening ahead for sure.

    SMALLLLLLIIIIIIINNNNNNNGGGGGGGGGGGG

Fellaini causing them so many problems in the box.

Fellaini the man for Man U both goals down to him being the big man from set pieces.

Moyes man is the main man at Man U still.

Ugly football but hey that's what happens when you start Fellaini.

Is it a coincidence that every other tier in the Elton John stand are all in yellow?

If someone told you a few years ago Man U would be beating a football playing Watford with route one to the Big man football you would have told them they were in the Twilight Zone.

Unlucky Pogba. Good stop by Foster. Been impressed with Pogba today so far.

First time watching Watford, very impressive in the opening half hour but look like they’re going to capitulate now.

Smalling looks like he has a duel with T’challa after the match.

    1/10 must try harder.

    1/10 must try harder.

    Take the blinkers off.

Two goal from set plays route one to Fellaini against a football playing Watford.

Since he was signed Fellani has probably been Man U's best and most important player behind De Gea.

I think you need to take the blinkers off if you are calling Watford a "football playing side" here. They have 11 men behind the ball when in defence and are counter attacking.

Whatever about how United have scored, your statement about Watford is just completely false.

315 passes for United compared to 177 for Watford. Yep,hoofball alright. ;)

    Some lads are just desperate.

It’s funny and sad at the same time.

Utd look a far better side when fellaini is in it

I like the way Pereyra always looks to run at players. He's given Valencia a tough time.

Watford are playing at a very high tempo now. And it's paying dividends.
United can't sleep walk to the final whistle.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 45,630 ✭✭✭✭Mr.Nice Guy

Martial Valencia should have crossed first time. That's what Lukaku wanted.

United looking more dangerous since Martial's on though.

    Doucoure's done well for Watford.

    Second yellow for Matic.

One down only two teams with a perfect record left now in the PL.

Good win for United. Will be a hard place to come for a lot of teams this year. Thought the game should have been done when Holebas should have been given a second yellow for a dive. Complete bottle job from Dean

It's a very good win. Watford will cause a lot of problems to teams visiting and it was made that little bit more tricky after the international break.

Watford would have had less players involved internationally and thus more time to prepare.

United got the job done. Happy with that.
