Hi I have this item purchased from you last year as working well https://www.richersounds.ie/p-202921-yamaha-yht1840.aspx

Need to setup a 2nd room. Can you recommend at low-medium budget with speakers please.

To future proof I guess I should have 4K, HDR, Atmos?

Was looking at this but does not appear to have HDR?

Thanks
Hey Peppa Cig.

Thanks for coming back to us.

The Onkyo HTS5805 has been a very popular system. I am getting conflicting opinions on the HDR on this, so I am going to give Onkyo a call to confirm  if it in fact does or not.

A small punchy speaker package recommendation would be great also (getting heat from mrs about size of those Onkyo speakers :) )

Hi Peppa Cig.

You could perhaps use the Denon AVRX540BT priced at £199 (non Atoms)
https://www.richersounds.ie/p-203341-402136.aspx

For an Atmos amp the starting point would be the Sony STRDH790 priced at £299
https://www.richersounds.ie/p-203340-401891.aspx

Or the Marantz NR1508 priced at £299 also
https://www.richersounds.ie/p-13047-black-319325.aspx

Pair it up with either the JBL Cinema 510 priced at £219.00
https://www.richersounds.ie/p-200854-cinema-510.aspx

Or the Canton Movie 75 coming in at £299.00
https://www.richersounds.ie/p-201147-movie-75.aspx

Then for the extra Atmos speaker you could add in the Onkyo SKH410's priced at £109
https://www.richersounds.ie/p-200949-skh410.aspx

You would also require speaker cable and a sublink with these options.

Let me know your thoughts.

I was looking at Cambridge audio speaker package

https://www.richersounds.com/tv-home-cinema/speaker-packages/cambridge-audio-minx-s225-5-1-black.html

What would be minimum required atmos AV to drive these? (Low cost desired)

Thanks

Peppa,

thanks for the post and apologies for the delay getting back to you.

If it was me I would go for a boardie bundle and add the Denon AVRX1500 to the Super Cambridge Audio Minx 225 5.1 package - the individual pricing on that bundle is £1247 / €1547 - I can trim that on a Boardie Bundle to £999 / €1169 including shipping.

It's all available from stock and the Cambridge Audio system is available in Black or white and it really would make an excellent sounding and great looking system!

You may need some speaker / HDMI & Sub cables to complete the system but if you are interested just measure up and we will do you an extended bundle price,

Thanks again and keep us posted if we can assist in any way,

ATVB,

Hi all,

Looking for some advice regarding best options for a home cinema type experience in my new build, due for completion later next year.

Im a complete novice when it comes to such matters so apologies if questions are blindingly obvious to some of you.

Is a projector system worth looking into? Do I need a separate TV or would the projector cover all TV requirements? What are the pros and cons of going down this route and are there any particular brand recommendations?

I also want to achieve a surround sound feel to this room and not just a soundbar under the TV which I never really seen the point of as TV speaker is usually adequate. What I want is sound coming from different points in the room.

Should I be looking to wire these things in during construction so as to avoid trailing wires which is something I want to avoid.

Any suggestions on what route to go down would be gratefully received.

Many thanks,

John

FYI - I purchased Denon/Cambridge audio suggested package above from RS. Very pleased with it.
