I'd say Khabib was secretly delighted he didn't show. He didn't have to deal with the McGregor onslaught

Eddie and Aldo were almost defeated before the bell even rung. Showing up late was a bad move by McGregor.

Jesus that’s a very, very serious allegation against Ali. I haven’t read about him in detail but I assume there’s some degree of truth to that particular comment? You can’t make something like that up.

“If you can’t aim for peace, aim between the eyes”.

That is a cracking line to be fair.

I think Khabib is feeling the pressure. Compare his demeanour with that of McGregor who is in great form.

It's in a book about NYPD and FBI informants and lots of stuff about Ali becoming an informant and then becoming untrustworthy and they severed ties with him. Dodgy bastard.

"I'm not even trying to sell it..." Conor says, as he centers the bottle of whiskey within the camera shot.

I highly doubt the Jameson brothers are worried about McGregor's white Bushmills whiskey in a different bottle

The September 11th bit though. Wow!
It goes way deeper than many people imagined

He’s just trying to get a response from them publicly. If he does, job done. He knows he won’t outsell Jameson, and he isn’t trying to.

He's hardly going to be going around saying it's better than his. He's just pushing it.

Yeah, but it could be simply that he's having a tough weight cut. Sure he was hospitalised during a recent weight cut.

Making Khabib sit there while Conor talks all his smack and all the fans chanting 'sh1t the bus' for 40 minutes would get under almost anyone's skin. Not the biggest deal, but it seems like a missed opportunity where he could have gained an extra few % advantage.

"Dana, no matter what, you tell the truth. You always tell the truth."

Possibly the most factually incorrect statement ever made in the history of time.

Considerable change in McGregor's demeanour at this one. He seemed to enjoy it with the crowd there and came across as being in good spirits, as he also did in the Conan OBrien interview. It's great to see him in that kind of form.

Almost as likable as apollo before dolph got his hands on him. Sequel will be dilan dannis V khabib in Russia to avenge him.

I'm going for the crazy option and Conor by submission :)

I thought both played it well to be honest.

Khabib walking off and staying away was a clever move. He made McGregor look like a bit of an idiot but I doubt Conor cares too much. Certainly wasn’t the sign of a man who was rattled as some people like to think. I reckon he knew Conor wasn’t showing up on time and planned it if it came to fruition.

Speaking of Conor, that was the more likeable side that he portrayed when he first arrived on the scene. He looked like he was having a lot of fun up there and it didn’t seem forced like the presser against Alvarez or the bollocks we had to deal with during the MayMac build up.

    Draw
Hard to pick a winner but I think Khabbib will get the win, might even go to decision.

Fancy Petis for the win against Ferguson, think he might have been rushed back too quickly in case the main cards falls through.

Khabib's padded record. Imagine being 14-0 in MMA, on the back of a hugely successful Sambo career and fighting a lad making his pro debut.

Between 5 and 7 Irish time.
