Does anyone know if Magomedov was arrested for assaulting Danis?

He could probably win a featherweight title again. If that means anything to him

Think IV seen enough of Conor for a few more years. Go away and take care of the family and actually work out your issues in the gym. If you come back you come back, if not no worries. That was horrible to watch. Completely out boxed and ragdolled. Embarrassing really.

That’s a tad over the top, he was comprehensively beaten but if you take away the pre fight nonesense there was nothing to be embarrassed about at all in the actual fight. It was a pretty standard Khabib win.

I think it's a silly notion that I have to like someone just because they are Irish.

Who said you have to like him, its clear there is dislike of him jsut for being Irish

Doubt it. Magomedov is in a jail cell in Moscow, has been since march.

Nobody was charged so far. Anyone that was processed was released about an hour later because Conor and his lads didn't want to press charges.

Mcgregor slaughtered and hard to see where he goes from here. Three losses in his last 5 fights and his shine is starting to dim.
145 division might suit him better.

I could see Khabib being striped of the belt, banned for 6-12 months. McGregor fights Ferguson for the belt. Winner fights Khabib after his suspension. Makes a lot of sense moneywise for the UFC.

I'd say that one of your pigs would out-wrestle both of them ;)

After the punch hanging off the cage?

No, that video shows the opposite.

The two Russian guys fighting with McGregor in the cage both threw punches first, the last of which was from behind.

Well you're including that circus fight vs Mayweather which in my book doesn't count.

Its as simple as this. McGregor underestimated his opponent. Thought he could walk in after a 2 year absence without (from what I can see) any proper and prolonged ground work / take down defense training and beat an absolute take down / ground n pound specialist who is younger and battle hardened over the last several years.

I'm a fan of McGregor but lets be honest here he was destroyed. On the ground and on his feet.

Think you’re being a bit quick to write him off. 2 defeats in his last 5 MMA fights, one of which he avenged. Question is whether he has the hunger to go back to the drawing board. He didn’t look good last night, seemed off coming into the ring, and didn’t look in great shape compared to previous fights. But who knows if he puts the head down for the next 6 months and tweaks his tactics and you wouldn’t rule him out of giving Khabib a sterner test. Same things were written after his Nate Diaz loss and he came back from that one a better more measured fighter.

Last night he looked rusty and a bit nervous entering the octagon, almost forgetting to speak with his team before getting his face vasalined up, and during his intro/final words from Herb Dean. He seemed to get his timing wrong when he strode forward outstrethcing his arms to take in the crowds applause and he struggled to maintain eye contact with Khabib when they were going over the rules. All little things, but it all just seemed a bit off. Add to that he looked very stiff on his feet right from the start.

I don't get people critising McGs cardio, I thought his gas tank was much improved especially when you consider the amount of time he was trying to defend Khabib wrestling.

Also earlier some old dope was giving out about McG and UFC saying it's a bunch of thugs I replied " you would never see any fighting at a GAA match..." Lol he didn't have a reply

Who cares? His team were under attack and that guy was on his way out to no doubt join in. Conor pretty much talked his team into trouble, least he could've done is thrown a slap in their defence.

    scratches head.

Were you one of those ole ole fanboys that got knocked out last night because I can't fathom any reason as to think anyone could suggest McGregor didn't throw the first punch here!

    Seriously!

The conversation is just going round in circles every two hours or so! Someone posts that same clip and then someone else says see the two guys just star throwing punches lol!

McGregor was on his way out also, in fact he was on his way out before Khabib's cousin ran over.

"His team was under attack" :D

    FFS !

Agreed, also felt at time there were subtle tells he wasn't quite business as usual, but queried whether that was my own nerves more than anything... I wonder if JK on Rogan will call it like it is. Problem being, of course, it'll come off as excuses, and to be fair to them they're perhaps the least guilty of many camps for implicating excuses.

I think the truth here is Conor could've been on point and still lost decisively. That said, it seemed a poor showing last night for reasons beyond his opponents skill-set.
