Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Nightlife in Birr

    Well folks.

I am due in the completely random metropolis of Birr for a stag weekend next February. My only prior experience of the town (apart from passing through on the way to Galway in the pre-motorway days), was at a wedding in the County Arms Hotel a couple of years ago. I believe there's a nightclub/late bar in operation there?

Whats the town itself like for a few pints? Any recommendations? "Outsider" stag friendly or is such an occasion a novel occurrence? :D

Is Whelahan's worth a visit? I hear Kelly's is good too. Any recommendations for a place to watch the Six Nations?

The Chestnut is a good pub for the 6 nations. And generally a lively spot on a weekend night. There are lots of pubs in town so you won't be stuck for choice. Melba's is the nightclub in Dooly's Hotel.
