Hi all, we are starting block work on our house. Engineer reports stated to aim for wall construction to achieve a u rating of minimum 0.13w cavities are 150mm. Can this u rating be met with pumped insulation or what’s the most cost effective way to reach it please

150 cavity - Not with pumped beads
Suggest you use 150 PIR installed as the block progressss - quality will need to be watched though

Otherwise widen the cavity to probably 200mm and pump with beads

Or pay signifant money for the Basf closed cell foam pumped insulation
