Recommendation on Chinese restaurant around Dublin 2 or outside of CC?

Could you please recommend a reasonably priced but nice Chinese restaurant in and around Aungier Street, Georges Street, or even better outside of the City Centre in South Dublin?

Heading in from UCD, so anywhere closer than town is a plus, although I would assume the city provides the greatest choice!

China Sichuan in Sandyford is probably just as close, and on the green Luas line, and is one of the best (if not the best) Chinese restaurants in Dublin.

+1 superb restaurant. Green Luas line isn't really an option if the OP is coming from UCD.

Best option to the China Sichuan from UCD via public transport would be the 47 bus from the other side of the N11 (outside the old Montrose), that will take you out to Stillorgan and up the hill (St. Raephaela's Road) towards the Luas at Sandyford. You get off just before the Luas line and the restaurant is in a cul de sac on the other side of Blackthorn Ave.

With the Sandyford Luas station behind you, this is the view towards the street where it's located. The restaurant is on the ground floor of that apartment block in the distance, the partially obscured white van is parked outside.

Duck on Fade Street is excellent. Hong Kong style food. It is very small though, like a small cafe.

China Sichuan is great but it’s not particularly cheap nor is it in town.

There really isn’t a particularly good Chinese in the D2 area. Kashing on Wicklow Street, near the back of BT is probably the best in town. I’ve met Kevin Hui from China Sichuan in there a few times, so it must be alright. The Good World is OK as far as I’m concerned but lots of people like it.

My top would be to try somewhere like Old Town on Capel Street & get some really authentic food at great prices.

Dublin 1 M&L on cathedral street is great (been a while to be fair but was cracking)

Great news, used to go a bit but haven’t been in a good bit. Food is excellent and quite reasonable.
