Jasmine was a crap candidate, perfectly suited to KPMG or one of those waffling management consultancies, send out to some naive public sector client and charge 1500 quid a day for her.
She would get annihilated in business world.

I thought it was funny too that Karen took such a high moral ground on the packaging, considering she works with the 2 lads in West Ham! Also I always laugh - no matter what bad call a candidate makes, they will never make a worse one than moving West Ham to the Olympic Stadium!

Can't stand Camilla. Mind you they are all crap now. Sugar obviously doesn't like strong, capable, intelligent women like Jackie and Jasmine, so he keeps the morons and the immature ones.

The candidates have been getting progressively worse down through the years, but this lot are a parody. Clearly nobody serious tries out anymore.

I do sympathise with the limited Time and the editing, but the previous candidates were far more professional.

I think Sabrina is very impressive, I'd happily invest in her, I've no doubt she'll be a millionaire by the time she's 25.

I think Sabrina is very impressive for her age and she'll probably only get better as she gets more experience. With that in mind, I think she is well placed to win assuming she has a decent business plan.

In fairness West Ham moving to the Olympic Stadium was one of the best ever decisions for the club. The stadium cost the government £700m to construct and West Ham are now on a long term lease paying a paltry £2.5m a year. The deal is so good that the local council are paying for all maintenance so West Ham dont have to spend a penny bar the rent. Controversially it was revealed that the council are even paying for the corner flags! The deal Brady negiotiated was stunning and there was a lot of anger about it from other clubs and local council taxpayers who are on the hook for 20 years to pay for any maintenance of it. Not only that but they also pocketed £40m from the sale of their own ground Upton Park which only had a capacity of 35,000 compared to the Olympic stadium which fills up at 66,000. The move to the Olympic stadium has meant their match day revenue has almost doubled. What Brady and Sullivan got was called a 'Deal of the Century' by many in the media.

Watched last nights episode just there. The five that are through the interview stage are awful and all liable to make stupid mistakes. I dont think Ive ever seen such a weak final five, unless they have some super business plans they really are a poor bunch to go into business with. Sugar must be thinking that he doesnt want to throw £250,000 at any of them.

And more importantly, she had a business by the time she was 14, another at 15. Exactly what Sugar can relate to

If football is solely about money then yes they did. But find me 1 West Ham fan who doesn't hate the stadium and wish they were playing their football anywhere else and I'll shake your hand.
They hate the place, football in Olympic stadiums is a round peg in a square hole. They are miles from the action, the club has lost its soul and fans are turning away.
But yeah you are right on the commercial aspect, but its a failure in all other aspects

Sabrina to win. Possibly Daniel or Kadija as runner-up. The rest will get torn to shreds during the interviews. Can't wait for it :D

Was there any particular reason for the candidates to be in their jammies for the initial meeting, beyond a bit of leering for the lads?

The ones that usually show off most skin are the lads.

It's best to think of the modern iteration of the show at the level of reality TV.

Fully agree. Brady and Sugar talk go on constantly about stuff being out-dated, the way they talk to candidates and the way they make them refer to Alan Sugar as "Lord Sugar" is outdated too.

If I had a decent business idea, I'd be going to a crowd funding investor or Dragons Den before I'd go anywhere near Alan Sugar and be reduced to 10-12 weeks of humiliation. That's why the candidates are crap - people no longer need that sort of thing to get investment.

ah yeah theres some fans not impressed with the stadium move but theyll get used to it over time. They had an attendance of 57,000 yesterday which is still very impressive. Commercially I think they had to do it, transfer fees have more or less doubled in the last three years and without a bigger stadium to bring in more income they wouldnt be able to compete with the teams around them.

Anyway Im looking forward to the interviews, these candidates come across as pretty weak so Im expecting Claude to go through them for a short cut :D

"The PM sent the wrong people to do the wrong task. You're fired for not standing up to her. PM, you can go back to the house"

Even by Suicre's long history of makey-up reasons for saving his preferred candidate this was a bit of a tortuous stretch.

There's a Final 5 program on Tuesday night at 10:45pm (BBCNI) if anyone wants to learn more about these candidates.

I can't remember the name of the candidate who was fired, but what has she done? I am amazed she lasted this long. Much better candidates have been fired before her.

And yeah, why didn't she say "You work in a kitchen making nut milk, you go in the kitchen".

Does anyone else miss the Irish Apprentice? God, I loved that show.

I remember Bill Cullen saying the following to candidates:

"if you spoke to me like that, I'd break your face"

"you're looking at me like you're spare"

and my fav ever was Will (I think), during the interview process, when he was asked about his qualities. He said he was great at thinking on his feet, and when asked for an example of this he said "well I can't think of one right now" :D

Ah God, it was brilliant, with Bill, Jackie and Brian. Best Irish show ever.

I never really got into the Irish one, the episodes were too long and drawn out. Weren't they like 1 hour 20 minutes long, and half of that the boardroom?

It was very commercialised, lots of product placement and use of sponsors for each task. I never really got into it either, just didn't come close to the English version

Its bad enough listening to Bill "I started with nothing" Cullen pontificating at the best of times!
Although he's gone very quiet of late.
