    Hi:-

We're renovating our house and about to do the wiring.

Just looking at our broadband options and wondered about Eir Fiber.

We are in Dublin 8 and are able to get Fiber at the house, just not sure we're fully wired up.

(Until recently we were with Virgin)

There is a RJ11 phone cable into the house - is this the cable that would be used for Fiber?

If it is on the RJ11 then we'd just ask the electrician to extend to the intended modem point in the front room; and if it's a new cable then I suppose that the Eir installer would just pop a hole in the wall at the correct point?

Then we'd plan to extend cabling to the very back of the house if we wanted to move modem location there in the distant future, and just daisy chain the incoming wires through sockets in the front room?

    Comments or thoughts welcome, thanks!

    Hi simpsimp,

An electrician would need to carry out the internal wiring within the house for you, I'm afraid we don't supply this unless a master socket is required.

Our sales team on 1800 503 303 will be able to assess the situation at your address and advise you on all required.

    Thanks

    Tracey
