    And AJs finish?

Yeah I think we can all take it as read it was a good shot and good finish mate. He’s the real deal but some serious flaws. He fights who is in front of him and that’s all he can do, but the way he’s hyped over here is silly.

I was very impressed with Povetkin, I wasn’t impressed with Joshua’s overall boxing.

His coach tried to keep him down when he 1st got knocked down.

Ya, saw that too. No idea what the coach was doing, he dragged him down.

Thank god it didn't go to the cards :)

But he now has beaten two elites...

    Wlad and AP....

Wilder and Fury are one step behind...

Judge scores were stupid. Povetkin should have been ahead on those.

    No...several close rds...

No issue with AJ getting several close rds...

I'd have Wilder and Fury ahead of both AP and Klitschko

Some close rounds but I had Povetkin up by 1.
    59-55 AJ is a joke

Overall it was a decent performance against a dangerous and seasoned pro..

He looked a bit lost at times. Bit clumsy. But his style is kind of stiff and robotic.

The power is there and the ability to put together power combination is very good..

Lol, Povetkin is not elite, behave yourself.

Wilder doesn't have the same polish as Povektin but he is much longer and quicker, Povetkin landed a lot of leather early that seem to rattle Joshua. I don't think he expected Povetkin to go so hard so fast so it probably caught him off guard and he'd obviously be more fearful vs. Wilder but I can't help but feel Wilder buries him once he lands at all. Povetkin had as much joy with the right as his money left hook and we all know how stupidly overpowered Wilder's right is. It'll be a fun fun fight but it is likely Fury just f*cks everything up and UDs both of them and retires again.

Mate I’m not one of these people who rubbishes Joshua. As I said he’s a legitimate fighter and champion, but he’s one in a generally uninspiring era and has looked distinctly average at times against average opposition.

If we’re being honest Klitschko at 31 would have blasted him out of it and a younger Povetkin would probably have turned him over. Absolutely no fault of his own he met the men late that having been said.

What’s bugging me is the sky commentary completely ignoring the fact he was getting thumped handily before he rallied and pulled out his (brilliant) knockout.

Ratings wise and career wise he is...

If he is not then not Wilder and AJ are the only two.

Fury not rated higher by any organization than Povetkin..

His coach tried to keep him down when he 1st got knocked down.

that was the reason he tripped when he was trying to get back up

I honestly missed that. He didnt look right when he got back to his feet though.

Being thumped handily? He was not dominating but nor was AP

It sound like you are saying AP was dominating...that is not true..

    Stupid but very predictable

More likely Bellew beats Usyk 120-108 than this...

    Don't care about ratings.

'Career wise', his best win is a KO against Takam. Same as Chisora's best win. Tell me what he's done in his career that marks him higher than Chisora.

You tell me who are elite HWs?

Wilder because he beat Stiverne and Ortiz?

Fury for his win over Wlad?

AJ for his win over Wlad?

    See, none have star careers...

AP is highly rated and has been for years...

Last time I doubted Fury he ended up making Wlad look a little silly so I dunno. Although Wilder should batter Fury if the Fury of the last two fights is the actual extent of his abilities now.

Sky, quit the crap...it’s AJ/Whyte II in April.

    Ah, you’re back...

Not long now, hopefully until Wilder/Fury...

Don’t you go disappearing on me..

He was up on my cards anyway and landing the more power shots. Joshua wasn’t offering a lot bar the odd jab to the body. All credit to the fella, I’d say he’ll beat Wilder and lose to Fury if the latter is fit physically and mentally.

Povetkin vs Ortiz would be a good fight and one both would probably like to have to get themselves back into the fray.

Probably, easy for AJ, I feel he has improved since their first fight, and he can prolong the wilder fight some more.

Highly rated and elite are not the same though, are they? I think you need some big wins to be considered elite, so on that basis, only AJ and Fury have a claim. Povetkin has done little. He was in trouble against Price and Huck - a cruiserweight.

Povetkin is out of the fray at 39 I think

Funny. I was thinking about that. Kind of thinking that he was more dangerous and offensively lethal in that Whyte fight than fights after. That Whyte fight was brilliant..

I’d possibly give Whyte a better chance now...

Povetkin is now out of the picture tbh...

Well, if we are hanging the term elite off one man, Wlad, then yes only AJ and Fury are elite...

I am removing Fury due to him doing nothing the past three years, as well as being a drugs cheat and looking very average his last two fights..

    So, we down to one?
